Student answer (Band 5.5)

In this contemporary era, a inflamating number of people with health issues are experimenting alternative medications and treatements instead of visiting their usual doctor. In my opinion, it is a negative development as trying alternative medications and treatements can cause several problem such as infection or increment in that disease and the another problem of not visiting doctor is sometime unusal death due not geeting proper care, treatement and dignosis of the arodous diseases. So, in the ensuing subdivision, I have supported my stance that what are some consequences of not visiting a doctor with reasonable justification.

The first and foremost problem that arises due to not visiting a doctor is taking alternative medicines in place of a visit can create anti medicine reaction such as swelling, infection, itching and sometimes an unusual death may be happen if the medicine is of high dosage and not in a prescribed amount. Consuming a medicine withouth knowing the dosage form or its result can effect very oppositely on someone's body. In this contemporary era, there is a huge influence of internet and social media platforms among youngstres and individuals, they believe that rather than going to a doctors and giving fees to them they can eventually get fit asking cahtgpt and gemini. These will result badly in one's life as chatgpt and gemini are not a specialist or a professional surgeon that it can solve problem easily and efficiently. Consequently, not visiting a doctor can make individuals life more problematic because taking prescriptions from doctors, one's know in which form he\she will have to take and at what interval.

Furthermore, asking internet about diseases and medidication instead of visiting a doctor can arise usless tension. To examplify it, if a person has headache and he ask about the problem to chatgpt and eventually get some results such as you are near to your death or you have a tumor or you have last stage cancer and individual get tensed and started living in a harmony that eventually he will gt died. But visiting a doctor you get a proper diagnosis and medication too and he will help individuals to get a proper treatement of that arodous or any type of disease. Individual may sometimes suffer an unusual death due to not geeting proper dignosis and treatement.

To conclude, i think that visiting a doctor is benificiel rather than aking any platform about disease or taking any type of medicine or treatement without prescription.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.5

The response successfully addresses all parts of the task by taking a clear negative stance on the trend of using alternative medicines and treatments instead of consulting a doctor. The position is maintained throughout the essay. Relevant ideas are presented, such as the dangers of incorrect dosages, the risks of relying on unverified internet sources like ChatGPT and Gemini, and the potential for delayed medical diagnosis. However, some ideas are more fully developed than others; for instance, the discussion around online tools is somewhat repetitive and touches upon emotional distress rather than focusing deeply on medical consequences. While this satisfies the core requirements, extending the arguments with more precise examples would elevate the content further.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0

The essay demonstrates a coherent overall arrangement with a clear logical progression from introduction to body paragraphs and conclusion. Each paragraph has a discernible focus, starting with the dangers of alternative medicines and moving into the pitfalls of internet-based medical advice. Cohesive devices are employed, such as 'The first and foremost problem', 'Furthermore', and 'To conclude', though some linking is mechanical or slightly awkward, as seen in phrases like 'So, in the ensuing subdivision'. Paragraphing is used sufficiently and appropriately, and referencing throughout the text is generally clear, allowing the reader to follow the writer's arguments without significant confusion.

Lexical Resource: Band 4.5

The vocabulary used is adequate for the task, successfully communicating the writer's core ideas regarding health problems and medical treatments. However, lexical resource is significantly constrained by frequent errors in word choice, spelling, and word form. Examples include 'inflamating' instead of inflammatory, 'treatements' instead of treatments, 'increment' instead of increase, 'arodous' instead of arduous, 'withouth' instead of without, and 'benificiel' instead of beneficial. The writer attempts some less common vocabulary such as 'contemporary era' and 'diagnosis', but persistent spelling and collocation slips impede full precision and restrict the score in this criterion.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

The response displays a mix of simple and complex sentence forms, demonstrating attempts at subordination and relative clauses. There are grammatical errors present throughout the text, including subject-verb agreement issues like 'an unusual death may be happen', prepositional mistakes such as 'asking cahtgpt', and article errors like 'rather than going to a doctors'. Punctuation is also occasionally weak, including run-on structures and incorrect pronoun casing. While these errors occur regularly, they rarely impede overall communication, allowing the reader to grasp the intended meaning despite the grammatical lapses.
