Student answer (Band 5.0)

The importance of health which has always been a debatable conversation, has now raised alot of arguments due to increasing health concerns. A lot of people are using alternative medicines and treatment rather than visting their doctor. It has been making a negative impact on their health and also influencing other peoples to follow alternative methods.

Due to expensive medicines, treatment laziness. People think that after few years artificial intelligence will take place of the doctors just like in Information Technology sector. They will perform surgeries and suggest medicines. For example, one of my friend had an infection on its foot, he just took a picture and send to the Chatgpt and write a prompt for its curing medicine. Chatgpt suggest him a name of medicine and he simplle just bought it from the pharmacy.

There would be some drawbacks of this method because Ai does not have a precise solution for the specific health problem. He just suggests you according his knowlege and Ai does not know everything, he wrote at the end of the webpage that research the important information. in this way, we cannot fully trust on Ai specially on health problems. if he recommend us wrong medication it will cause severe damage to our health due to side effects of the medicine.

In my opinion, I beleive that people should always visit to the doctors instead of using alternative methods. If any individual find did'nt well. I would suggest them to change the doctor instead of using Ai. The would be alot more beneficial for their health in the long run.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5

You clearly take a negative position, stating that alternative approaches can harm health, and the example of someone seeking medication advice from ChatGPT is relevant to the topic. However, the response addresses the question only partially: it focuses mainly on AI rather than explaining the wider range of alternative medicines and treatments, and the opening claim that people influence others is not developed. The point about cost and “treatment laziness” is also unclear and receives little explanation. To strengthen the response, explain more fully how relying on unverified treatments can delay diagnosis or cause harm, and support each main reason with a clear explanation or example. Keep the discussion focused on the question’s broader issue, not only AI.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.0

The response has a recognisable structure, with an introduction, two body paragraphs and a concluding opinion. The paragraphs broadly group related points, and phrases such as “For example” and “In my opinion” help signal the example and your position. However, progression between ideas is not always clear: “Due to expensive medicines, treatment laziness” is an incomplete, confusing opening to the second paragraph, and the link between cost, AI and alternative treatment is not explained. Some references, including “he” and “this method,” are unclear or inconsistent. Use topic sentences that state each paragraph’s main point, then develop it in a logical sequence. Clearer links between claims and examples would make the argument easier to follow.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You use some topic-related vocabulary, including “alternative medicines,” “infection,” “surgeries,” “medication” and “side effects,” which helps communicate the subject. However, the range is limited and several noticeable spelling, word-form and collocation errors make parts of the response difficult to read, such as “alot,” “visting,” “simplle,” “knowlege” and “beleive.” Some expressions are also imprecise: “treatment laziness” does not clearly convey your intended meaning, while “artificial intelligence will take place of the doctors” is an awkward way to describe replacing doctors. Aim for accurate, natural phrases such as “avoid the cost of treatment” or “replace doctors,” and check spelling and word forms carefully.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt to use both simple and more complex sentences, including a conditional idea in “if he recommend us wrong medication it will cause severe damage.” However, the range is limited, and errors occur frequently in sentence construction, verb forms, agreement, articles and punctuation. For example, “The importance of health which has always been a debatable conversation” is not a complete, well-formed sentence, and “one of my friend had an infection on its foot” contains problems with number and pronoun agreement. In “If any individual find did'nt well,” the verb pattern is also unclear. Practise building complete sentences with a clear subject and verb, and check agreement and punctuation, especially when joining clauses.
