Student answer (Band 5.0)

These days, the growing number in population dealing with health problems are trying to use the alternative medicines adn treatment instead of visiting their regular doctor. From my perpective, it is completely opposing development which may have a long-term bad consequences on them.

Begin with, trying to another sources to prevent themselves from the helath issue is detrimental. They can not imagine the consequnces of persuaving towards another doctor which do not known their previous history of their health as their usual doctor. For instance, a person persuave themselves towards the virtual doctors by saw theit advertisement on social media, not known well the patients as their regular doctors.

Furthermore, some of the people are trying to used the alternative of the same medicine without getting the advise from the doctor, which leads toward unknown situation and maybe detrimental affect on their health. In the sense of treatments, some of the people are influenced with the influencers on sicial media, treated with the plastic surjury, are willing to do same thing without getting advices from their doctor and stubornly go throw it. This kind of misleading put in the danger zone which is impossible to exit and then they are crying when the birds eaten the field.

In conclusion, the people with the health issue are trying to use another medicines and treatments rather sharing and get information from their regular doctos. It maybe affect badly on themselves just because of lack of matureness lead them to the danger zone which will go with them in all times.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5

You take a clear negative position, stating that alternative medicines and treatments can have “long-term bad consequences,” and you give relevant concerns about unfamiliar providers, self-medicating, and cosmetic procedures. These points show a response to the question, but the discussion is only partly developed: the example of a virtual doctor is not clearly tied to alternative medicine, and the plastic-surgery example shifts attention from the health treatments in the prompt. Explain more precisely how these choices can harm patients, and support each point with a clear, relevant example. Your conclusion repeats the position but adds little reasoning. More focused development would make the response address the task more fully.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5

The response has a recognisable structure, with an introduction, two body paragraphs, and a conclusion. “Furthermore” signals a new point, and the paragraphs broadly separate concerns about providers from concerns about treatments. However, progression within paragraphs is sometimes difficult to follow: the first body paragraph moves from unfamiliar doctors to social-media advertising without clearly explaining the connection, while the second combines medication, influencers, and plastic surgery. Some linking phrases, such as “Begin with” and “In the sense of treatments,” sound awkward or do not clearly show the relationship between ideas. The final image about birds eating a field also interrupts the argument. Use clearer topic sentences and connect each example directly to its main point.

Lexical Resource: Band 4.5

You attempt vocabulary relevant to the topic, including “alternative medicines,” “health problems,” “consequences,” and “misleading,” and you try to express ideas such as risk and influence. However, the range is limited and many word-choice, collocation, and spelling errors make parts difficult to understand. Examples include “another sources,” “persuaving towards another doctor,” “unknown situation,” and “danger zone”; the final idiom about birds eating a field is also unclear in this context. Frequent misspellings such as “perpective,” “helath,” and “sicial” further reduce clarity. Build a more accurate set of phrases for discussing medical advice and risk, and check spelling and natural word combinations when editing.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You use both simple statements and attempts at longer sentences, including clauses introduced by “which” and “without.” However, the range is limited, and complex constructions are often faulty, so readers sometimes have to work to understand the intended meaning. For example, “the growing number in population … are trying” has an agreement problem, while “a person persuade themselves … by saw” combines incompatible verb forms. In “some of the people are trying to used,” the verb pattern is incorrect, and the final sentence contains an unclear clause structure. Articles, plurals, and punctuation also need attention. Practise building accurate subject–verb–object sentences first, then add one subordinate clause at a time.
