Student answer (Band 5.5)
THESE DAYS, A MOST OF PEOPLE FACING HEALTH CONCERNS AND THER TRY HOME REMEDIES INSTAED OF VISITING A DOCTOR AND TAKE A PROER MEDICURE. ALTHOUGH, HOMELY TREATEMENTS CAN SAVE INDIVIDUAL COSTS AND CHEMICAL FREE MEDICINES, UNIDENTIFIED CURE CAN MIGHT BE CAN INCREASE DISEASE CAUSE. I BELIVE THAT NEGATIVE EFFECT WOULD BE MORE IF PERSON CAN TAKE PROPER MEDICURE.
ONE OF THE MAIN ADVANTAGE OF CURING THROUGH HOME REMEDIES COULD SAVES INDIVIDUALS LOTS OF MONEY, WHICH WOULD BE CHARED BY DOCTOR CONSLUTATION. IN THE MEDICAL TREATMENT DOCTOR GENERALLY CHARGE EXCESSIVE AMOUNT OF MONEY TO CURE THAT ILLNESS, BUT SOME MIDDLE CLASS AND LOWER MIDDLE CLASS FAMILIES CANNOT AFFORD THAT CHARGES, SO THEY TRY TO RESOLVE THAT DESIES AT HOME BY TRYING NEW HARBAL HOME TREATMENT TO SAVE COST. FOR EXAMPLE, IN INDIA, MOST OF PEOPLE USE TURMERIC PASTE, IF THEY HAD FACE ANY INJURIES OR PAIN. HOWEVER, THIS KINDS OF EXPERIMENTS TURNES THOSE SEVERAL INJURIES INTO FATEL.
FURTHERMORE, USING ALTERNATIVE MEDICINES TREATMENT CAN RESULT DELAY IN RECEIVING PROPER MEDICURE. IN SOME CASES PERSON SHOULD NOT BE WORRY ABOUT MONEY, BECASUE AFTER TRYING DIFFERENT HURBAL TREATMENTS AND NEGATIVE RESULTS CAN TURNES HEALTH ISSUES SERIOUS. FOR EXAMPLE, A CANCER PATITENT, WHO IS AT FIRST OR SECOND STAGE OF IT THEN THEY HAVE TIME CURE IT WITH HELP OF MODERN MEDICAL TREATMENT, BUT THEY DELAY THEIR THERAPY BY DOING SOME NEW EXPERIMENT AT HOME THEN, IT COULD BE INCREASED AND AFTER IT DOCTOR WOULD CANNOT ABLE TO CURE IT.
IN CONCLUSION, USE OF ALTERNATIVE MEDICINES MAY SEEM POCKET FRIENDLY AND SAVE INDIVIDUAL MONEY, WHILE DOCTOR WELL-IDENTIFIED PRESCRIPTION CAN TREATED FASTLY AND ACCURATELY. SO, I BELIEVE THAT IT IS A NAGATIVE DEVELOPMENT.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.5
Your position is clear: you consider relying on alternative treatments instead of seeing a doctor a negative development. You address both sides by acknowledging lower costs and then explaining the risks of delayed medical care. The examples of turmeric for injuries and a cancer patient postponing treatment are relevant and help support your view. This meets the task well, and the argument shows some development. However, the cost-saving point is explained more fully than the potential benefits of alternative treatments, while the cancer example is presented as a general scenario rather than being developed with specific reasoning. To strengthen the response further, explain when alternative remedies might be appropriate and distinguish these from replacing professional diagnosis or treatment.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0
The response has a clear overall structure: an introduction states your view, two body paragraphs present reasons, and the conclusion restates your position. Linking expressions such as “Furthermore,” “For example,” and “In conclusion” make the stages easy to identify. However, cohesion is sometimes mechanical, and some links between ideas are unclear. For instance, “However, this kinds of experiments turnes those several injuries into fatal” does not clearly explain how the example relates to the preceding claim. The second body paragraph also moves from affordability to cancer treatment without a smooth transition. Use clearer referencing and connect each example explicitly to the paragraph’s main point; vary linking methods rather than relying mainly on signposting phrases.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You attempt vocabulary relevant to the topic, including “alternative medicines,” “consultation,” “herbal treatment,” “injuries,” and “therapy.” This gives you some range beyond basic everyday language. However, inaccurate spelling and word choice are noticeable and sometimes make the meaning difficult to follow, as in “proer medicure,” “desies,” “fat el,” and “well-identified prescription.” Some combinations are also unnatural: “save individuals lots of money” is understandable, but “save individuals money” or “reduce medical costs” is more idiomatic. Build accuracy with common topic collocations and check spelling carefully. Prefer precise expressions such as “seek medical advice,” “delay treatment,” and “serious complications” over improvised phrases.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple and more complex sentences, including clauses introduced by “although,” “which,” and “who.” This shows an effort to express relationships between ideas. However, complex sentences are often faulty, and errors in verb forms, agreement, articles, and sentence construction can make meaning difficult to follow. For example, “A cancer patient … then they have time cure it” has unclear agreement and an incomplete verb pattern, while “doctor would cannot able to cure it” combines incompatible verb forms. In “one of the main advantage … could saves,” the plural noun and verb form are also incorrect. Focus first on building accurate short sentences, then add subordinate clauses; check subject–verb agreement and use one correctly formed modal or tense in each clause.
