Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5
Your position is ultimately clear: you regard relying on alternative treatments instead of consulting a doctor as a negative development, and the conclusion recommends seeking medical advice for serious illnesses. The discussion of people using their own methods and the risk of creating further problems is relevant. However, the response only partly develops the task: it does not explain clearly what kinds of alternative treatments are meant or why people choose them, and the claim about white blood cells is not connected convincingly to the argument. The COVID-19 example is relevant in principle, but the point about doctors preparing symptoms is unclear. Develop each reason with a clear explanation and a specific, accurate example.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.0
The response has a recognisable structure, with an introduction, two body paragraphs and a conclusion, and phrases such as “To begin with” and “In conclusion” help signal stages of the argument. However, progression within paragraphs is often difficult to follow: the discussion moves from white blood cells to COVID-19 without explaining the link, while the second body paragraph repeats the idea that self-treatment can cause problems. Some linking words are used mechanically or inaccurately, including “Although” followed by a separate sentence beginning “but,” and “After that” where a clearer topic link is needed. Organise each body paragraph around one reason, then explain and illustrate it in a logical sequence, using references that make clear what “this method” refers to.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You attempt vocabulary relevant to health and the topic, including “alternative medicines,” “natural defence,” “diseases,” and “consult our family doctor.” These choices show an effort to discuss the issue beyond very basic terms. However, the range is limited and many spelling and word-choice errors make parts of the message difficult to understand, such as “numerious,” “contemporiary,” “sympoties,” and “ansasters.” Some expressions are also unnatural or imprecise, for example “proper treatment” and “prepare the sympoties.” Build a reliable set of topic vocabulary and check spelling and collocations. More precise phrases such as “conventional medical care,” “symptoms,” and “seek professional advice” would help communicate your ideas clearly.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 4.5
You attempt some longer sentences and subordinate clauses, for example “Although proper treatment is essential for our health” and “when people use their own expirements.” However, these attempts are often incomplete or inaccurately formed, and the range of secure sentence patterns is limited. Errors in verb forms and agreement occur throughout, as in “many individuals are prefer,” “it effect,” and “the doctors are prepare.” Articles and sentence boundaries are also problematic, including “not took a advise” and the fragment beginning “Although.” These errors sometimes make the intended meaning hard to follow. Practise forming complete sentences with a clear subject and verb, and check tense, agreement, articles and punctuation before submitting.
