Student answer (Band 5.0)

Many people try to used something which stop to visit their usual doctor for medicines and treatments in the present period. I think this is a positive development because some citizens would focus their health diet to become a healthy life.

Nowdays, many individuals avoid to eat unhealthy food like oily meals, sweets and junk foods to start a healthy life style, and begin to do yoga and meditation in daily morning. It helps to improve your blood flow in our body and reduces anxiety from our mind. For example, some actors body is very silm, healthy and fit by flowing a healthy diet life style. They also used to do yoga and meditation because it makes your mind refresh and relax. Therefore, they should not go to hospital for daily regular check up.

However, every people do not adopt that type of life style and got many health problems. They did not visit doctor and may died by a serious disease. That type of people who is going through by some serious problems like canser, sugar and sickness, should go to health post for their regular health check up. Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 4.5

You give a clear positive view at the start and include relevant points about diet, yoga and meditation, as well as the risks of avoiding medical care for serious illnesses. However, the response only partially addresses the question: it often shifts from alternative treatments to healthy habits and routine check-ups, which are not the same issue. The example about actors is general and does not show how alternative medicine helps, while the cancer example supports the opposing concern but is not developed. The conclusion is cut off, so your final position is not fully reinforced. The response also falls 20 words short of the required minimum. Develop a direct comparison of benefits and risks, with a specific example of an alternative treatment and a clear concluding judgement.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5

The response has a recognisable structure: an introduction, a paragraph presenting benefits, a contrasting paragraph about serious illness, and an attempted conclusion. Connectors such as “For example,” “However,” and “In conclusion” help signal the direction of ideas. However, progression is uneven because the first body paragraph moves from diet to exercise, actors and hospital check-ups without clearly linking these points to alternative medicine. Some references, such as “that type of people,” are unclear, and the conclusion ends mid-sentence, weakening the overall flow. To improve, make each paragraph develop one central point and use clearer links between alternative treatments and the examples you provide.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You use some relevant topic vocabulary, including “meditation,” “anxiety,” “healthy diet,” and “serious disease,” so the reader can follow the general subject. However, the range is limited and several phrases are inaccurate or repetitive, which sometimes makes the intended meaning difficult to interpret. For example, “focus their health diet” and “healthy diet life style” are not natural expressions, and “sickness” is too general when discussing specific medical conditions. Spelling errors such as “Nowdays,” “silm,” and “canser” also reduce accuracy. Build a more precise set of terms for the task, such as “alternative therapies,” “medical treatment,” and “consult a doctor,” and check spelling and collocations carefully.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt both simple and more extended sentences, including a contrast introduced by “However” and a reason clause beginning “because.” Nevertheless, errors are frequent, and some sentence patterns are difficult to follow. Examples include “Many people try to used,” “every people do not adopt,” and “a person who have cancer,” where verb forms or subject–verb agreement are incorrect. Articles, plurals and sentence boundaries also need attention; for instance, “It saves people life from death” is not grammatically controlled, and the final sentence is incomplete. Practise building accurate basic sentences first, then add subordinate clauses. Pay particular attention to verb forms after “try,” agreement with singular and plural subjects, and completing each sentence.
