Student answer (Band 6.0)
It is undeniable that individuals' both habits and opinions change with each passing years. The growing age helps them to explore in society and to get know more about others opinion. I am agreeing with the statement of changes in the habits and thoughts as people get older.
The one of the prominent reason for changes in people's behaviour and habits is the influence of other people. It is common in people to get influence from others due to their experience and knowledge that allows to see the situation from their perspective. For instance, children learn a lot from their teachers and peer groups because they have life experience that they use to make children learn good habits. As children loves sweet candies and chocolates but when their teachers explain the detrimental effects of eating sugary products then it helps children to change their habit of eating sweets.
Self realization is the another cause for changing individuals' habits and opinions as they get older. With the each passing years, individuals get realization of their bad habits and their negative thoughts. As they socialize with different kind of people during their study or work and with the use of social media, they come to know about what they are doing negative that they need to consider in life. Hence, their habits and their opinions get change when they get older.
In conclusion, the impact of social media and experienced people proven to reflect in the changes in individuals both their habits and the way they think.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0
Your position is clear: you agree that habits and opinions change with age, and both body paragraphs give relevant reasons—other people’s influence and self-realisation. The example of children changing their eating habits after teachers explain the effects of sugary food helps illustrate the first reason. However, the discussion of opinions is less fully developed than that of habits, and the second paragraph makes broad claims about socialising and social media without a specific example showing how an opinion changes. The conclusion restates the main idea but does not draw together the two reasons in much detail. To strengthen the response, explain more precisely how age or experience leads to a change in viewpoint, and support that explanation with a concrete example.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0
The response has a clear overall structure: an introduction, two paragraphs presenting separate reasons, and a conclusion. The progression from influence by others to self-realisation is easy to follow, and linking expressions such as “For instance,” “Hence,” and “In conclusion” help signal the relationships between ideas. Some cohesion is less controlled, however. The second paragraph repeats “habits and opinions” several times, and the final sentence introduces social media even though its role has not been clearly explained earlier. Some references are also unclear, such as “they” in the sentence about teachers and peer groups. Use more precise references and connect each example directly to the paragraph’s main point to make the flow smoother.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.5
You use a relevant range of vocabulary, including “influence,” “perspective,” “detrimental effects,” and “self realization,” which helps express the topic and the reasons for your view. Some attempts at more formal wording are effective, but several word choices and collocations are inaccurate or unnatural, such as “get know more,” “get influence,” “get realization,” and “get change.” The repeated use of “habits,” “opinions,” and “change” also limits variety. These choices do not prevent the reader from understanding your main points, but they reduce precision and naturalness. Build a bank of common collocations—for example, “gain a better understanding” and “be influenced by”—and check that each phrase fits its context.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.5
You attempt both simple and complex sentence forms, including clauses introduced by “because,” “when,” and “as,” and the overall meaning is generally clear. Some grammatical errors remain across the response. For example, “individuals' both habits” has incorrect word order, “as people get older” is followed by the awkward construction “with each passing years,” and “As children loves” has a subject–verb agreement error. In “their habits and their opinions get change,” the verb pattern is incorrect. These issues do not usually prevent understanding, but they show that control of sentence forms is not yet consistent. Review agreement, articles, plurals, and verb patterns, then proofread each sentence for a complete and correctly formed clause.
