Student answer (Band 5.5)
It is seen that people alter their habits and prefrences as they get older. I agree with this opinion with growing age people change their habits and opinion such as they start eating healthy and doing exercise to keep them healthy, and they show more intreset in politics.
To begin, with aged people change their eating habits and improve standard of living. Many elderly switch their fast food eating habits to healthy meal preprations that provides them enough nutrition and vitamin to kept them healthy. In addition to this older people encourage them to do exercise to their keep their body warm and active. Consequestly, they do not get sick and health issues. Through these acts they remain healthy in their old age. Parks and Gardens are the biggest example, where they like to walk, jog or exercise during morning and evening.
Moreover, retired people are intrested in watching and reading newspaper. They keep them aware about international and national current affairs. This means have proper and in-depth knowlegede of tax, property rate, elections and crime around them. As compare to the young generation they find news boring and no intreset. For instance, it is witnessed that most of the people participate in politics after their retirement, and like to take part in elections wheather its local or nation. Like, Prime Minister of India Modi he started making carrer in politics in his late 60s.
To conclude, this essay showed how elder people change their eating and living habits, also they keep them aware about politics.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0
Your position is clear from the introduction: you agree that people’s habits and opinions change as they age. You address both parts by discussing healthier routines and increased interest in politics, and the examples of parks and retired people following elections are relevant. However, the response develops habits more fully than opinions: the political paragraph mainly describes following news and participating in elections, without explaining clearly how older people’s opinions themselves change. Some claims, such as older people becoming healthier through exercise, are also asserted rather than supported with a specific explanation. To strengthen the response, explain what changes in people’s views and why, and develop each example so it directly supports your position.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0
The essay has a clear overall structure, with an introduction, two body paragraphs presenting separate reasons, and a conclusion. Sequencing phrases such as “To begin,” “Moreover,” and “To conclude” help readers follow the main stages. However, some connections between ideas are mechanical or unclear. For example, “This means have proper and in-depth knowledge” does not clearly connect the previous point about newspapers to the claim that older people understand current affairs. The conclusion repeats the two topics but does not bring the argument together. Use clearer referencing and link each example explicitly to the paragraph’s main point; also make sure each sentence follows logically from the one before it.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.5
You use relevant vocabulary for the topic, including “eating habits,” “nutrition,” “current affairs,” and “participate in politics,” so the main ideas are generally understandable. There are also attempts at more specific expressions, such as “in-depth knowledge.” However, spelling errors and inaccurate word choices reduce precision, including “prefrences,” “intreset,” “knowlegede,” and “wheather.” Some phrases are also unnatural or unclear, such as “healthy meal preprations” and “keep their body warm.” Build accuracy by checking spelling and learning common collocations as complete phrases. A more precise vocabulary range would help you express the distinction between changing habits and changing opinions more clearly.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple and more complex sentence forms, including a sentence beginning “Many elderly switch…” and a clause introduced by “where” in the example about parks. The overall meaning is usually recoverable, but some grammatical errors make individual sentences difficult to follow. For example, “I agree with this opinion with growing age people change…” joins ideas without a clear grammatical link, while “that provides them enough nutrition” has a subject–verb agreement problem. In “older people encourage them to do exercise to their keep their body,” the sentence structure and pronoun references are unclear. Practise separating complete ideas with appropriate punctuation and checking agreement, verb forms, and sentence patterns. More accurate complex sentences would improve clarity.
