Student answer (Band 6.0)
A significant number of people normally change their behavior and thinking as they get older because they get matured with time and do not want to be remained in their comfort zone to achieve their goals. Even though some people believe that people should carry their habits in the future, I think a person should adopt himself with the demands.
Commencing with the most prominent reason why people change their behavior and habits with time can be their improved maturity levels with time. When people get matured they realize that they need to change their childhood habits, if they want to be succeeded in lives. Otherwise they would remain in their comfort zones and tend to lack in confidence and knowledge. Therefore, with time they start working on their own such as ding laundry, grocery and dishes, because they know this is going to help them in future when they move to different city or country.
Despite some people's arguments, I believe that being independent help people to achieve their goals in lives. When an individual moves to a new city or country, it becomes easy for the ones who adopt different cultures. However, those who cannot leave their comfort zones tend to face difficulties while carrying out their tasks such as shopping, doing assignment and making friends. Therefore, a person should always be ready to work in any place, city or a country. For example, international students who move to a different city for their studies tend to face difficulty in the beginning, but those who learn their culture and language results in being fore comfortable.
To conclude, although some people claim that a person should not change his habits, I believe adopting nature can help people to focus more on their desired goals.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0
The response addresses the prompt by taking a clear position that people should change their habits and opinions as they age. The ideas are relevant, focusing on maturity and the necessity of adaptation for personal growth. However, the development of these ideas is somewhat repetitive. For instance, the argument about 'comfort zones' and 'moving to a new city' is mentioned in both the second and third paragraphs, which limits the depth of the discussion. To reach a higher band, you should aim to explore different facets of the topic, such as the role of social influence or professional development, rather than repeating the same example.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0
The essay is organized into logical paragraphs, each with a clear focus. Cohesive devices such as 'Commencing with', 'Despite', and 'To conclude' are used to guide the reader. However, some transitions feel slightly mechanical or forced. The referencing is occasionally unclear, such as in the phrase 'those who learn their culture and language results in being fore comfortable', where the subject-verb agreement and the reference to 'results' disrupt the flow. Improving the variety of linking words and ensuring that pronouns clearly refer back to their antecedents would enhance the overall coherence.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.5
The vocabulary is generally adequate for the task, allowing the message to be conveyed clearly. You use some relevant phrases like 'comfort zone' and 'improved maturity levels'. However, there are several instances of awkward word choice and collocation errors, such as 'get matured' (should be 'mature'), 'do not want to be remained' (should be 'do not want to remain'), and 'adopting nature' (likely meant 'adaptability'). These errors indicate a limited range of vocabulary and some difficulty with precise expression. Expanding your range of collocations and checking word forms will help improve this score.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5
The essay uses a mix of simple and complex sentence structures. While the meaning is generally clear, there are frequent grammatical errors throughout the text. Examples include 'the most prominent reason... can be their improved maturity' (subject-verb agreement/tense issue), 'if they want to be succeeded in lives' (incorrect passive voice), and 'being independent help people' (subject-verb agreement). Additionally, there are minor punctuation and spelling errors, such as 'ding' instead of 'doing' and 'fore' instead of 'more'. To improve, focus on mastering subject-verb agreement and the correct use of passive versus active voice.
