Student answer (Band 5.5)
With time people adapt naive things which give them comfort. It is frequently believed that people as they get older their tastes and opinions changed with time. I am partially agree with it as some habits are innate which do not change with time. In this essay, I will discuss the reasons and explanations that why I am partially agree with it.
On the one hand, as people grow up with time wherein they gain experience and knowledge then it could significantly change their opinions. For instance, people who gain a lot of new learning with their personal experience. As old people, they learned from their past experience. They do not rely on anything blindly if there any relevant event happened in past then they make aware their known one about that similar happening consequences. Moreover, recent generation is technology based then they are faster and quicker in everything. With time they changed their opinions that new generation people can resolve technical problem more precisely. It is apparent that old people experience cannot be ignored. At many high post where their experience helps a lot.
On the other hand, some habits are innate which remain sticky till last breath. People who are prominent at their work. Then they facilitate accuracy and to wake up early in morning become one of old habit. Such as, people who worked in military or colonel post, are strict to their protocol. Whatever may come they apply and teach their children and grand children to gain efficiency and productivity in work. These points explicitly demonstrate that some habits remain till last long.
To conclude, although people choices and preferences change with time, I believe that some habits never change as they remain with people as an experience to guide their loved one.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.5
The response addresses the prompt by taking a clear position ('partially agree'). The ideas are relevant, discussing how experience shapes opinions and how some habits remain innate. However, the development is somewhat uneven. The explanation regarding 'innate habits' is a bit vague, and the example of military personnel is not fully connected to the broader argument about why these habits persist. While the position is maintained, the supporting arguments lack depth and precision, leading to a somewhat superficial treatment of the topic. To improve, ensure that each paragraph provides a clear, logical link between the premise and the conclusion.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.5
The essay is organized into clear paragraphs, and there is a logical progression of ideas. Cohesive devices are used, such as 'On the one hand', 'On the other hand', and 'To conclude', which help guide the reader. However, some transitions are mechanical or slightly awkward, such as 'Then they facilitate accuracy and to wake up early in morning become one of old habit'. The referencing is occasionally unclear, making some sentences difficult to follow. Improving the flow between sentences and ensuring that pronouns clearly refer to their antecedents would enhance the overall coherence of the response.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.5
The vocabulary is generally adequate for the task, but it lacks the range and precision required for a higher band. There are several instances of awkward phrasing and word choice, such as 'adapt naive things' and 'sticky till last breath'. While the meaning is generally clear, the lack of sophisticated vocabulary and the presence of collocation errors limit the score. To improve, focus on learning more precise collocations and using a wider variety of academic vocabulary to express complex ideas more naturally.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5
The essay uses a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, but there are frequent grammatical errors throughout. Examples include 'I am partially agree' (should be 'I partially agree'), 'people as they get older their tastes and opinions changed' (subject-verb agreement and tense issues), and 'if there any relevant event happened in past'. These errors are noticeable and occasionally impede the flow of reading, although they do not prevent understanding. To reach a higher band, focus on subject-verb agreement, correct verb tense usage, and refining sentence structure to reduce the frequency of errors.
