Student answer (Band 6.5)
Day by day, people tend to change their habits and opinions as they grow older. I agree with the given statement because they get a new experience, take on different responsibilities, and become more aware of changing priorities throughout their lives.
A growing number of people express their new concerns over time because they take their decision as per the situations. For example, number of employees taking an instant decisions about their projects in certain situations in order to overcome the problems and secure themselves. Apart from that, youngsters change their food habits when then encounter health issues. Such as, overconsumption of junk food, frozen and fried meals causes health problems like diabetes, obesity and heart attack. Therefore, in order to prevent the disease, they start consuming healthy and nutritious rich food, which fulfil their body's nutrition requirements, provide them energy and improve their mental and physical health. Hence, changes in food habits play a pivotal role for them to mitigate the chances of illness.
However, during childhood and adolescence, individuals are always influence by their parents, teachers and friends. However, when they meet new people, work in different background, then they develop their own perspectives and ideas for their better understanding of social issues rather than seeking advice from other people. Apart from that, older people change their habits in order to improve their fitness. For instance, during their retirement age, they start to follow social activities and display their interest in charity work because they are free from their professional responsibilities and now they do this types of activities in order to become social, keep their brain active and maintain physical fitness by taking part in yoga or meditation sessions.
In conclusion, majority of people change their habits and opinions over time to organise themselves better and maintaining their work-life balance for their overall growth and well-being.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 7.0
The response addresses the prompt clearly and maintains a consistent position throughout. You have provided relevant reasons and examples, such as the shift in dietary habits and the change in social activities during retirement. While the ideas are relevant, some points could be developed further; for instance, the example regarding employees making instant decisions is somewhat vague and does not clearly link to a change in 'opinion' or 'habit' as effectively as the health example. Overall, the response covers all parts of the task well, and the position is clear from the introduction to the conclusion.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 7.0
The essay is logically organized with a clear progression of ideas. Paragraphing is used appropriately to separate different themes, such as health habits and social perspectives. You use a range of cohesive devices like 'Apart from that,' 'For instance,' and 'In conclusion' to link your thoughts. However, some transitions feel slightly mechanical, and there are minor issues with referencing, such as the repetitive use of 'they' which occasionally makes the antecedent unclear. Despite these minor flaws, the overall structure is coherent and easy to follow.
Lexical Resource — Band 6.0
You demonstrate an adequate range of vocabulary for the task, including terms like 'mitigate,' 'pivotal role,' and 'professional responsibilities.' There are some instances of slightly unnatural collocations or word choices, such as 'take their decision as per the situations' and 'do this types of activities.' While these errors do not impede communication, they prevent the essay from reaching a higher band. To improve, focus on more precise collocations and ensure that pluralization and article usage are consistent with the intended meaning.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 6.0
The essay uses a mix of simple and complex sentence structures. While you successfully use complex sentences, there are frequent grammatical errors, particularly with subject-verb agreement ('number of employees taking... decisions'), article usage ('the' vs. 'a'), and pluralization ('this types of activities'). Additionally, there are some awkward phrasings like 'individuals are always influence by.' While these errors are noticeable, they rarely impede the reader's understanding. To reach a higher band, you should focus on proofreading for basic grammatical accuracy and refining the control of complex structures.
