Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0

The response addresses the prompt by agreeing that habits and opinions change with age. However, the development of ideas is inconsistent. While the point about changing responsibilities is relevant, the paragraph regarding rural versus urban migration is tangential and does not clearly link back to the core argument of changing habits. Furthermore, the mention of smoking and partying is a bit disconnected from the main theme of 'aging'. To improve, ensure every sentence directly supports your position on why and how habits and opinions evolve as one matures, rather than introducing side topics like migration patterns.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0

The essay is organized into logical paragraphs, and there is a clear introduction and conclusion. However, the use of cohesive devices is sometimes mechanical or slightly inaccurate. For instance, 'Because, in countryside...' is a sentence fragment and an awkward transition. Additionally, the flow between ideas within paragraphs is occasionally disjointed, such as the sudden shift from corporate jobs to migration. Using a wider variety of linking words (e.g., 'consequently', 'furthermore', 'in contrast') would help improve the logical progression of your arguments and make the connections between sentences more explicit.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.5

The vocabulary is generally adequate for the task, but it lacks the precision and range required for higher bands. There are several instances of awkward phrasing or incorrect word choices, such as 'physical and psychological determinants' (which is vague in this context) and 'make their life even more better' (which is grammatically redundant). You attempt some topic-specific vocabulary, but it is often used incorrectly or in a way that sounds unnatural. Focusing on learning collocations and more sophisticated synonyms for common words will help elevate your writing.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5

The essay contains a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, but there are frequent grammatical errors that occasionally impede the flow. Common issues include subject-verb agreement (e.g., 'individuals comes', 'people grew up' instead of 'grow up'), missing articles, and awkward sentence construction. For example, 'Sometime growing with old habits feels like a boredom' is grammatically incorrect. While the meaning is generally clear, these persistent errors prevent the essay from reaching a higher band. You should focus on proofreading for basic subject-verb agreement and ensuring consistent verb tense usage throughout your writing.
