On of the primary reason people start having opinions or to change the existing ones is their life experiences. As achild, we start to learn about particular set of views at hime from our families. Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0
The response addresses the prompt by agreeing that habits and opinions change with age. You provide relevant examples, such as the shift in gender role perceptions and the adaptation of dietary habits. However, the development of ideas is somewhat limited. While you touch upon why these changes occur, the explanation could be more deeply explored to reach a higher band. The counter-argument regarding spiritual beliefs is a good addition, but it is brief. To improve, ensure that each paragraph provides a more thorough analysis of the 'why' and 'how' behind these changes, rather than just stating examples.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0
The essay is organized into clear paragraphs, each with a central theme. You use some cohesive devices such as 'On the contrary', 'Therefore', and 'For instance' to link ideas. However, the flow between sentences is occasionally mechanical, and some transitions feel abrupt. For example, the transition between the discussion of food habits and the counter-argument about spiritual beliefs could be smoother. Additionally, there are minor issues with referencing, such as 'This lead to shifts', where the pronoun reference is slightly unclear. Improving the variety of linking words and ensuring smoother transitions would enhance the overall coherence.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.5
You demonstrate an adequate range of vocabulary for the task, such as 'circumstances', 'independantly', and 'foundational'. However, there are several spelling errors throughout the text, including 'themeselves', 'Additionallty', 'kniwledge', 'achild', 'hime', 'independantly', 'Similarily', 'childeren', 'coutries', 'fro', 'reguire', and 'froming'. These errors are frequent enough to be noticeable. While the vocabulary is sufficient to convey your meaning, the high frequency of spelling mistakes limits your score. Focus on proofreading your work to catch these basic errors, as they detract from the professional quality of your writing.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5
The essay uses a mix of simple and complex sentence structures. There are several grammatical errors, such as subject-verb agreement issues ('Meals... stays', 'morals and does not change') and incorrect preposition usage ('adopt to' instead of 'adapt to'). Additionally, there are punctuation and article errors, such as 'On of the primary reason' and 'As achild'. While these errors do not prevent the reader from understanding your message, they occur frequently. To improve, focus on mastering subject-verb agreement and common collocations, and try to incorporate a wider variety of complex sentence structures with greater accuracy.
