Student answer (Band 6.0)
Some people think that habits and opinions get changed as they are getting older. I agree with this view.
Changes in habits of people especially when they get older could be possible due to availibility of time and life commitments. Many people get busy in their work schedule and house erands, anyhow they have to change their habits. For example, If people were used to staying up until late night when they were students. Once they started going to work they had to become a morning person whether they want or not. Similarly with the food, and doing exercising, because as growing up, many people have to take consultation with doctors to change their daily routins habits, so they can stay fit and healthy.
Opinions, similarly, keep changing as people grow up time to time. When people are in their young age, they are more likely to take decisions as they want in terms of study, jobs and marriage. After some age once they get experience and learn from their mistakes they change their opinions. For example, people mostly like to job as their interest and talent, if they do not get success then they support the trend and scope.
Changes in habits and opinions of people as they are getting old is a part of life. It is important if changes in these turn not only life but also society in a better way. updating ourselves allows people to keep connected with the world and enjoy a new in life.
In conclusion, habits and opinions of people keep changing time to time due to family, work and life comitments. I think these changes are good for people, because these give a chance to enjoy a life in a meaningful way.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0
The response addresses the prompt clearly and maintains a consistent position throughout. The ideas regarding lifestyle changes due to work commitments and the evolution of personal opinions through experience are relevant and supported by examples. However, the development of these ideas is somewhat limited; the explanation of why opinions change is a bit superficial, and the examples could be more detailed to fully explore the 'why' behind the shift. While the task is addressed, the depth of analysis is more characteristic of a Band 6.0, as some points remain slightly under-developed.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0
The essay is organized into logical paragraphs, each with a clear central topic. Cohesive devices are used, such as 'For example', 'Similarly', and 'In conclusion', which help guide the reader. However, the flow between sentences is occasionally mechanical, and some transitions feel abrupt. For instance, the transition between the discussion of habits and the discussion of opinions could be smoother. The use of referencing is generally clear, but the overall progression of ideas lacks the sophistication required for a higher band. Paragraphing is used appropriately to separate the different aspects of the argument.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.5
The vocabulary is adequate for the task, allowing the student to express their ideas clearly. There are attempts to use topic-specific vocabulary like 'life commitments', 'daily routine', and 'scope'. However, there are several spelling errors ('availibility', 'erands', 'routins', 'comitments') and some awkward phrasing, such as 'enjoy a new in life'. The range of vocabulary is sufficient to communicate, but it lacks the precision and flexibility needed for a higher score. The student relies on fairly common words and phrases, and the errors, while not impeding communication, are noticeable.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5
The essay uses a mix of simple and complex sentence structures. While the student attempts complex sentences, there are frequent grammatical errors, particularly with verb tenses and article usage (e.g., 'get changed as they are getting older', 'like to job as their interest'). Punctuation is generally functional, but there are errors in sentence construction, such as the fragment 'For example, If people were used to...'. These errors occur frequently but do not prevent the reader from understanding the intended meaning. The control over grammar is inconsistent, which is typical of a Band 5.5 or 6.0 level.
