Student answer (Band 6.5)
It is often argued that people tend to change their habits and opinions as they grow older. I agree with this view because and individual gain more life experiences, fulfill responsibilities and encounter new circumstances. For example young adults love to spend night life with friends but, after having family and kids they might change their behavior.
One major reason people alter their habits as their responsibilities tend to increase with the age. Young would spend more time on entertainment, they love to socialize and attend late night parties. However, once they start working, getting married and having children as they adopt more structured lifestyle. They may begin eating healthy food, doing exercise and managing finances for future. These changes are usually necessity for better standard of living.
People's opinion also change as they acquire knowledge and experience. Adults spend most of their life doing 9 to 5 job due to hectic schedule they fail to spend time with family or have personal time. After certain age people learn to balance personal and professional life and they cope up with stress as their priorities are different. For example once people believed that working long hours is a healthy lifestyle, but managing time and taking care of our health is a good life.
In my opinion, changing habits and opinions according to our age is very crucial as it will shape individuals future as well as it will benefit their families. Although core values remains same but increased responsibilities and changing priorities often tend to change individual behavior

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.5
The response addresses the prompt clearly and maintains a consistent position throughout. You have provided relevant examples, such as the transition from a social lifestyle to a family-oriented one, which supports your argument well. However, the development of ideas is somewhat limited; for instance, the paragraph regarding opinions could be more deeply explored with more specific reasoning. While the main points are clear, some sections feel slightly repetitive. To reach a higher band, ensure that each supporting point is fully extended with more nuanced analysis rather than just listing examples.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.5
The essay is logically organized into clear paragraphs, each with a distinct focus. You use some cohesive devices, such as 'However' and 'For example', to link ideas. However, the flow between sentences is occasionally mechanical, and some transitions feel abrupt. For example, the transition between the discussion of habits and opinions could be smoother. Additionally, there are minor issues with referencing and sentence-level cohesion, such as the slightly awkward phrasing in the introduction. Improving the variety of linking words and ensuring smoother transitions between paragraphs would enhance the overall coherence.
Lexical Resource — Band 6.0
You demonstrate an adequate range of vocabulary for the task, using terms like 'structured lifestyle', 'hectic schedule', and 'priorities'. However, there are some instances of imprecise word choice and minor errors, such as 'as they adopt more structured lifestyle' (missing article) and 'cope up with stress' (incorrect phrasal verb). The vocabulary is generally functional but lacks the sophistication and precision required for higher bands. To improve, focus on using more precise collocations and avoiding repetitive phrasing, such as the frequent use of 'change' and 'people'.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 6.0
The essay uses a mix of simple and complex sentence structures. While the meaning is generally clear, there are frequent grammatical errors, particularly with articles ('the' missing before 'young'), subject-verb agreement ('core values remains'), and prepositions ('cope up with'). Some sentences are slightly awkward, such as 'as they adopt more structured lifestyle'. While these errors do not impede communication, they are frequent enough to prevent a higher score. Increasing the accuracy of your complex structures and proofreading for basic grammatical slips will help improve your score in this criterion.
