Student answer (Band 6.0)

it is true that most of the individuals behaviour are changing throughout the life period. Although this is very common to develop change in human nature, i believe that some people are very strict regarding some things due to human nature.

On the one hand, there are several reasons why people opinion change when they get older. First and the foremost, most of the people like to play adventures sports when they are young however when they come in older age they would avoid to play it because they would easily feel tired due to health and low energy. Moreover, as they older, they have a lot of life experience that is why they have know about the difference between the right and wrong but when they youngest, they have neither knowledge nor think before taking decision because of the immature.

On the other hand, i think that some individuals perspectives and interest are not alter due to strict on the decisions. Firstly, age is not matter for some individuals to do take any decisions because some masses are stuck in their decision because of the narrow minded. For instance, in India, most of the individuals do not allow to women to work outside due to orthodoxic thinking despite they are more educated and number of life experience. Furthermore, some one have keen interest to play adventures so it does not matter age for them because when they play it, they forget their health issue and they give more energy to play it and win it because of the interest.

To conclude, though it has become common for people to change habits and opinions when they get older, t opine that age is not matter for both it.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0

The response addresses the prompt by discussing both sides of the argument. You clearly state your position in the introduction and maintain it throughout. However, the development of ideas is somewhat uneven. While you provide examples, such as the mention of adventure sports and gender roles in India, the explanation of these points is occasionally repetitive or lacks depth. To reach a higher band, ensure that your supporting arguments are fully explored rather than just stated. For instance, the link between 'immature' and decision-making could be expanded to better illustrate why opinions change with age.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0

The essay is organized into clear paragraphs, which helps the reader follow your argument. You use basic cohesive devices like 'On the one hand,' 'On the other hand,' and 'To conclude' to signal shifts in your writing. However, the flow within paragraphs is sometimes hindered by awkward phrasing and mechanical transitions. For example, the sentence 'age is not matter for some individuals to do take any decisions' is disjointed. Improving the variety of linking words and ensuring that each sentence logically follows the previous one would enhance the overall coherence of your response.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.5

You demonstrate an adequate range of vocabulary for the task, but there are frequent errors in word choice and collocation that occasionally impede clarity. Phrases like 'life period' instead of 'lifetime,' 'adventures sports' instead of 'adventure sports,' and 'orthodoxic thinking' instead of 'orthodox views' show a limited grasp of natural English usage. While you attempt to use more complex vocabulary, the inaccuracies are noticeable. Focusing on learning common collocations and ensuring words are used in their correct grammatical form will help you achieve a higher score in this criterion.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5

The essay contains a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, but there are frequent grammatical errors throughout. Issues with subject-verb agreement (e.g., 'most of the individuals behaviour are changing'), article usage, and word forms (e.g., 'when they youngest') are common. Additionally, some sentences are poorly constructed, such as 'i think that some individuals perspectives and interest are not alter due to strict on the decisions.' These errors require the reader to re-read parts of the text to understand the intended meaning. Increasing your control over basic grammar and proofreading for subject-verb agreement will significantly improve your score.
