Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.0
The response addresses the prompt by agreeing with the statement and providing personal examples to support the position. However, the development of ideas is somewhat limited and repetitive. While you mention the transition from student life to professional life, the explanation of why opinions change remains superficial. To improve, you should expand on the underlying reasons for these shifts—such as increased responsibility, exposure to new environments, or changing priorities—rather than just listing lifestyle changes. The conclusion attempts to summarize the main point, but the overall argument lacks the depth required for a higher band score.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.0
The essay is organized into paragraphs, but the logical flow is frequently interrupted by awkward phrasing and run-on sentences. Cohesive devices are used, such as 'Moreover' and 'Hence', but they are often applied mechanically or incorrectly. The transition between ideas is sometimes abrupt, making it difficult for the reader to follow the progression of your argument. For example, the shift from discussing your past habits to your future business plans lacks a smooth connection. Improving the use of linking words and ensuring each paragraph has a clear, singular focus would significantly enhance the coherence of your writing.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.0
The vocabulary is basic and often repetitive. There are several instances of incorrect word choice and collocation, such as 'its basically fits upon me' instead of 'this applies to me', and 'view of point' instead of 'point of view'. You rely on simple, everyday language, which limits your ability to express complex ideas precisely. To reach a higher band, you should aim to incorporate more topic-specific vocabulary related to personal development, maturity, and lifestyle changes, and pay closer attention to standard English collocations.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0
The essay contains frequent grammatical errors that often impede communication. There are consistent issues with verb tenses (e.g., 'I was had a good routine'), subject-verb agreement, and sentence structure. Many sentences are run-on, lacking proper punctuation, which makes them difficult to parse. While you attempt to use complex structures, they are often faulty, leading to confusion. Focusing on mastering basic sentence construction—ensuring each sentence has a clear subject and verb—before attempting more complex structures will help you reduce the frequency of these errors.
