Student answer (Band 5.5)
In the contemporary era, changing habits and opinions are very common for individual who are getting older. I strongly agree with this view point that people get more experience as they get older, so they have more responsibilities and behave differently.
To begin with, individuals change their habits as responsibilities are increasing. People have to take care of everything. For example, students have not too much stress without study, but parents are responsible for paying fee, take care of children, social task. Moreover, after joining jobs or starting business, people have too much burden to handle everything in better way. They find new techniques for earning more profit.
On the other hand, opinions also get changed when people gain their knowledge and experience. Youngers do not have vast knowledge about anything, so their opinions are different. When people meet with different people like fron different culture, carrier or occupation, they get more knowledge and change opinions. For instance, adults think like earning more money is important in life, as they get older ,they understand the values of family and health and start thinking in another way.
In conclusion, it is reiterated that by getting older, people change their way of thinking and habits. It is very common because they gain more experience as compared to early age.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.0
The response addresses the prompt by agreeing that habits and opinions change with age. However, the essay is significantly under the 250-word minimum, which limits the depth of the arguments. While the ideas are relevant, they are somewhat underdeveloped. For instance, the paragraph on habits mentions 'new techniques' for profit but does not explain how this relates to a change in habit. Similarly, the example regarding family values is a good start but lacks specific detail to fully support the point. Because the response is under-length and the ideas are not fully extended, it falls into the lower band range.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0
The essay is organized into logical paragraphs, with a clear introduction, body paragraphs, and a conclusion. Cohesive devices such as 'To begin with', 'Moreover', 'On the other hand', and 'In conclusion' are used to guide the reader. However, the flow within paragraphs is sometimes mechanical, and the referencing is occasionally unclear, such as the transition between 'social task' and 'joining jobs'. While the overall structure is coherent, the limited length prevents a more sophisticated development of ideas, which impacts the overall progression of the argument.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.5
The vocabulary is generally adequate for the task but lacks the range and precision required for higher bands. There are several instances of awkward phrasing or incorrect word choices, such as 'social task' instead of 'social obligations', 'youngers' instead of 'young people', and 'fron different culture' (spelling error). The use of 'too much stress without study' is also unnatural. To improve, you should focus on using more precise collocations and a wider variety of academic vocabulary to express your ideas more fluently.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5
The essay uses a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, but there are frequent grammatical errors that occasionally impede clarity. Examples include 'changing habits and opinions are very common for individual who are getting older' (subject-verb agreement and singular/plural noun error) and 'students have not too much stress without study' (awkward phrasing). Punctuation is also inconsistent, particularly with comma placement. While the meaning is generally understandable, the frequency of errors in basic grammar and sentence construction limits the score.
