Student answer (Band 5.0)

FIRST OF ALL THANKS TO GIVE ME THIS OPPORTITUNITY TO WRITE ON THIS TOPIC.

AS SHOWN IN QUESTION IT IS POSSIBLE FOR EVERYONE TO CHANGE THER HABITS AND THERE OPINIONS.

I AM STRONGALLY AGREE WITH THAT STATEMENT, I WILL DESCRIBE WITH BELOW MY PERSONAL EXPERIANCE.

MY FIRST EXPERIANCE WAS ON MYSELF, WHEN I WAS CHILD, THAT TIME WE HAD GROSSERY SHOP. I WAS SITTING ON OUR SHOP ALSO, WHEN I SAW MY FATHER IS NOT IN SHOP, I STOLLEN SOME BUSICUTS AND SOME TOFFIES, THAN I WENT TO MY PRIMARY SCHOOL AND DISTRIBUTE ALL THE REFERESHMENT ITEMS WITH MY FRIENDS, ONE DAY ONE OF MY BEST FRIEND ANGRY WITH ME AND GO TO MY FATHER'S SHOT AND TELL TO ANYTHING TO MY FATHER. THAN SUDDENLY MY FATHER CAME TO MY SCHOOL AND BEETING ME INFRONT ALL OF MY SCHOOL FRIENDS. THAN I WAS CRYING AND TAKING OTH FROM MY FATHER, AND THAT TIME I PROMISSED MYSELF TO DON'T STOLLEN ANYTHING. FROM THAT DAY TO NOW I DOES NOT STOLLEN ANYTHING. I EASILY CHANGED MY HABIT.

SECONDLY I SAW AN OTHER EXPERIANCE, WHEN MY ELDER BROTHER WAS TRYING TO APPLY FOR CANADIAN IMMIGRATION, THAT TIME MY SISTER IN LAW DID NOT AGREE TO GO WITH HER HUSBAND FOR TRAVELING CANADA, BECAUSE SHE THAUGHT CANADA IS VERY EXPENSIVE COUNTRY, AND THEY CAN NOT AFFORD LIVING THERE. BUT WHEN THEY SETTELED IN CANADA, ONE DAY I DISCUSSED TO MY SISTER IN LAW, SHE TOLD ME THAT SHE WAS WRONG, BECAUSE FOR HARD WORKING PERSONS CANADA IS VERY BETTER OPTION TO LIVE THER, BECAUSE IN CANADA HAVE SO MANY OPTIONS TO WORK THERE AND EARN MORE MONY AS MORE AS POSSIBLE.

SO BASED ON ABOVE TWO STATEMENTS I HARDLY AGREE WITH THAT REMARKS WHICH MENTIONED IN QUESTION.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.0

The response addresses the prompt by agreeing that habits and opinions change with age. You provide two personal examples to support your position. However, the development of these ideas is somewhat limited and relies heavily on anecdotal storytelling rather than a broader discussion of why these changes occur. The introduction is informal and includes unnecessary conversational filler. To improve, focus on expanding your arguments with more analytical depth rather than just recounting personal narratives. While the position is clear, the overall development is basic and lacks the sophistication required for higher bands.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.0

The essay is organised into paragraphs, which helps the reader follow the structure. However, the use of cohesive devices is mechanical and sometimes inaccurate, such as the repetitive use of 'than' instead of 'then' and 'that time'. The transition between ideas is often abrupt, and the flow of the essay is hindered by the lack of varied linking words. While there is a logical progression from the introduction to the two examples and the conclusion, the connections between sentences are often weak, making the writing feel disjointed.

Lexical Resource — Band 4.5

The vocabulary is quite limited and repetitive, often relying on basic words. There are frequent spelling errors, such as 'OPPORTITUNITY', 'THER', 'STRONGALLY', 'GROSSERY', 'STOLLEN', and 'BUSICUTS'. These errors are frequent and sometimes make it difficult for the reader to follow the intended meaning. You attempt to use some topic-related vocabulary, but the lack of precision and the high frequency of spelling mistakes significantly impact the clarity of your writing. You need to focus on learning the correct spelling of common words and expanding your range of vocabulary to express ideas more precisely.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 4.5

The essay contains a high frequency of grammatical errors, including subject-verb agreement ('I does not', 'my father... beeting me'), tense inconsistencies ('I was child', 'I will describe with below'), and incorrect word forms. Sentence structures are mostly simple, and attempts at complex sentences are often marred by errors that impede communication. Punctuation is also inconsistent, particularly with the use of commas and capitalization. To improve, you must focus on mastering basic sentence construction, verb tenses, and subject-verb agreement before attempting more complex grammatical structures.
