Student answer (Band 6.0)
in recent decades, this is very common for society to change their opinions and habits by passing years and get older. I agree with this given statement, my inclination will be elucidated in the following paragraph.
There are major reasons for this trend. One and foremost, in whole society some people may not follow the same routine they were followed in their past life. their body might be able to do the same and also they have some responsibility in their older life. For example, In young age, people can follow their passion and spent time in sports, games and other activities. but when they get older they have responsibility to earn and take care of family. In later life they do not maintain the same schedule as emerging adults. this makes a huge difference in their both past and present lives. Additionally, aged people can not able to play again as they were played because they might have health issues, we all knows bodies not supports much in older age as compares to youngsters. Therefore this can make people forced to change their habits by time.
Furthermore, another reason behind this is generation gap. society changing their opinion, suggest possible way to find a solution based on upgraded generation. Technology has been change over decades and people have been making decisions based on that. youngsters and older generation might have different point of views and opinion. Therefore there is a less chance for younger people to apply advice in their life which given by senior adults.
To conclude, this is nor common for people in society to change their tastes, habits, and opinion based on getting older with following generation. I totally agree with this giver statement. people should always follow the trend, make new habits, and share best opinion. This helps them to live a modern life with great inspiration following new generation trend.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0
The response addresses the prompt by agreeing that habits and opinions change with age. While the position is clear, the development of ideas is somewhat limited. The explanation regarding physical limitations and the generation gap is relevant, but the arguments could be more deeply explored with more specific, nuanced examples. The conclusion introduces a slightly different focus by suggesting people 'should' follow trends, which is not strictly required by the prompt. Overall, the response covers the task requirements adequately but lacks the depth of analysis expected at higher bands.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0
The essay is organised into logical paragraphs, and there is a clear progression of ideas from the introduction to the conclusion. Cohesive devices such as 'Furthermore', 'Therefore', and 'In addition' are used to link sentences. However, some transitions feel mechanical, and there are instances where the flow is slightly disrupted by awkward phrasing (e.g., 'One and foremost'). Paragraphing is used appropriately to separate the main arguments, but the internal cohesion within paragraphs could be improved to ensure a smoother transition between ideas.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.5
The vocabulary is generally adequate for the task, allowing the writer to convey their meaning clearly. There is some attempt to use topic-specific language like 'generation gap' and 'emerging adults'. However, there are several instances of imprecise word choice and collocation errors, such as 'by passing years' instead of 'as the years pass' and 'this is nor common' instead of 'it is now common'. The range of vocabulary is somewhat limited, relying on basic structures and repetitive phrasing, which prevents the response from reaching a higher band.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5
The essay uses a mix of simple and complex sentence structures. However, there are frequent grammatical errors throughout the text, including issues with subject-verb agreement ('bodies not supports'), article usage, and tense consistency ('Technology has been change'). While these errors do not completely impede communication, they are persistent and noticeable. The control over complex structures is inconsistent, and the punctuation is occasionally faulty. To improve, the student should focus on basic sentence construction and proofreading for common grammatical slips.
