Student answer (Band 6.0)
In today's generation, it is widely observed that individuals slowly change their habits and opinions as they grow older. From my perspective, I agree with the given notion because maturity plays a vital role to alter decisions, and also physical strength restrict people to follow their passion. In the following paragraphs, I will shed some light on this topic.
The primary reason why I support this view is that personal opinions differ with maturity. Human body evoles with time and brain becomes responsible to take wise actions of their life. This is because brain cell changes over the time while tackling real world problems. Growing adults face and understand families responsibilties, financial aspect or career challanges. As a result, this has a direct impact and people ended up to make sacrifice of life choices, which lead to change their opinions. For example, many families in Africa face severe poor financial constraint, this has a direct impact on their children as they grow older they understand the family values, and take responsible actions to improvise household conditions. Therefore, life experience gain more mature insight.
Another important reason is that towards the older age body stop functioning the same way as it used to do in their teenage life. Especially, youth always indulge themselves into physical sports acitivities such as football, running, which require more stamina to stay on the top. This means that as people approach in their thirties, they prefer to change their habits because generally starting from this age players face muscle cramps and injuries in their body parts. A great example of this can be seen in footbal where active playes prefer to take retirement in the middle-age because body cells function slowly to recover from injuries. Overall this further supports my viewpoint.
In conclusion, I firmly believe that with life experiece brings maturity and physical strength not work the same way, this often lead to people change thier habits and opionions as they grow older.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0
The response addresses the prompt directly, presenting a clear position that habits and opinions change with age due to maturity and changing physical capacities. The student supports this stance with relevant ideas, such as financial responsibilities in adulthood and physical decline in sports. However, some ideas are slightly under-developed or contain sweeping generalisations, such as the example regarding families in Africa. Overall, all parts of the task are addressed with a clear progression of ideas, aligning well with the Band 6 descriptors.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0
The essay is coherent overall with a clear logical arrangement, divided into an introduction, two body paragraphs, and a conclusion. Paragraphing is used appropriately to separate distinct main points. However, cohesion is sometimes faulty or mechanical. For example, transitional phrases like 'The primary reason why I support this view' and 'Another important reason is that' are a bit formulaic, and referencing is occasionally unclear, such as the pronoun shifts in 'brain becomes responsible to take wise actions of their life'. These features place the response firmly in Band 6.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.5
The student uses an adequate range of vocabulary for the task, attempting less common terms such as 'maturity', 'financial constraint', and 'stamina'. However, there are noticeable word-choice and collocation errors throughout the text, such as 'Human body evoles with time', 'gain more mature insight', and 'active playes prefer to take retirement'. Spelling mistakes like 'evole', 'responsibilties', 'challanges', 'acitivities', 'footbal', 'playes', 'experiece', 'thier', and 'opionions' also occur frequently. These errors do not completely impede communication, resulting in a Band 5.5 score.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5
The essay displays a mix of simple and complex sentence forms, demonstrating an attempt at varied structures. However, there are frequent grammatical errors in tense consistency, article usage, and subject-verb agreement. Examples include 'physical strength restrict people', 'life experience gain', 'towards the older age body stop functioning', and 'physical strength not work the same way'. While these errors occasionally cause the reader some difficulty, communication is generally maintained, which is characteristic of Band 5.5.
