Student answer (Band 5.0)
Once we are getting old than we often seen people change their habits and opinions. I agree with this statement because we get experience from different situations and more responsible about career and life.
There are numerous reasons why people change their habits and their perspective. Firstly, increase responsibility. In simple words, when we are student or child than just focus on study or playing games with friends. During at that time,we donnot have any responsilitis. As a result, we think differently once we old we have many responsibility in terms of finanacial, family. Thus, we change ours opinions according to that. For example, many people donnot like to eat bitter food we they were child or youngster. After getting older they likes bitter food. They were change their eating habit according to health conditions.
Additionally, older people gain more experiences, as they gains through different stages of life. So, often people change their perspective once meture. For instance, one study conducted by psychology student in 2026 revealed that more than half of people were change opinions when they were old because thet got many experiences throughout life. Moreover, focus more on healthy life styles. So, they change eating habits. Most of the case young people donnot have any health problem like diabetes. So, they cannot focus on healthy food. Therefore, opinions and habits change age by age.
In conclusion, I strongly believe that habits and opinions change once we are older and it is very common for almost all people.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.5
The response addresses the prompt by taking a clear position that people change their habits and opinions as they get older, and supports this with reasons related to increased responsibility and life experience. The ideas are relevant, though they are somewhat repetitive and under-developed, particularly in the second body paragraph. For example, the mention of a study conducted by a psychology student in 2026 is an unusual and weak example of support. However, all parts of the task are addressed, placing the response comfortably at Band 5.5 to 6.0. Because the development lacks depth and relies on generalities, it aligns best with Band 5.5 descriptors for this criterion.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.0
The text is organized into paragraphs with a basic introduction, two body paragraphs, and a conclusion. However, the progression of ideas is sometimes hindered by mechanical and repetitive cohesive devices, such as 'Firstly', 'Additionally', 'As a result', and 'Moreover'. Referencing is occasionally unclear, as seen in phrases like 'During at that time, we donnot have any responsilitis.' Paragraphing is attempted, but the internal flow of sentences can feel disjointed due to awkward transitions and frequent structural repetitions. Overall coherence is maintained well enough to understand the writer's argument, satisfying the requirements for Band 5.0.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.0
The vocabulary used is generally basic and repetitive, with noticeable errors in word choice and form. For instance, the writer uses 'responsilitis' instead of responsibilities, 'meture' instead of mature, and 'finanacial' instead of financial. There are also unnatural collocations and phrasing, such as 'Once we are getting old than we often seen people' and 'change age by age'. While the writer attempts some less common vocabulary such as 'perspective' and 'health conditions', the frequent lexical errors and limited range restrict the score to a Band 5.0.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0
The essay displays a very limited range of grammatical structures, relying heavily on simple sentences and faulty attempts at complex ones. Frequent grammatical and punctuation errors occur throughout the text, such as 'Once we are getting old than we often seen', 'when we are student or child than just focus', and 'many people donnot like to eat bitter food we they were child'. These errors frequently cause strain for the reader and impede comprehension in places, placing the grammatical accuracy firmly at Band 4.5 to 5.0. Due to the constant presence of basic errors, Band 5.0 is the appropriate descriptor.
