Student answer (Band 5.0)
It has been observed that, people believe that older people are more mature. Although some people believe that people to change both their habits and their opinion as they get older. i agree the given statement to a large extent. My inclination is elaborated in ensuring paragraph and relevant examples.
The foremost argument to justify my stand is that when people in younger age they have full energatic thats why they can do anything what ever they want, for example, in younger age people can do job or business to grow family and save money for retiredment as well.Besides this, it is also true that older people change their habit and opinions because in this age they are clam and very serious about their health as well because they dont have more energy. For instance, they can not travel in their older age they need to stay home and spent time with family.
Furthermore, the other reason to prove my point is older people have more experiance and they see everything in their life so they can share past stories their child or grand child and they tried to matching with new generetion.
on other contrary, some people counter claim the mentined support. The foremost argument they do is older people cant trave more outside and they dont want to try as well and some of older people live to alone because they are more disturb that is why they want to live alone while whole life working and in older age they dont have to work.
In conclude the discussion, it can be said that despite the fact of older people do not want to change in their life. My reason that aged people can try to change in their life they will be healthy and learn new things as well are logically acceptable.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.0
The candidate addresses the prompt regarding whether people change habits and opinions as they get older, adopting a clear position of agreement. Main ideas are presented, such as younger people having more energy for career-building compared to older people focusing on health and family, and older people possessing greater life experience. However, these ideas are often under-developed and lack extension. For instance, the transition into how older people share stories or attempt to match with the younger generation is superficial. Furthermore, the writing contains some contradictions and digressions, such as discussing why some older people live alone. Overall, the response meets the basic requirements of the task but suffers from limited development, aligning best with a Band 5.0.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.0
The text is organized into paragraphs, attempting an introduction, body paragraphs, a counter-argument, and a conclusion. However, the logical progression is frequently disrupted by awkward transitions and confusing sentence structures. Cohesive devices are either misused or absent, resulting in a mechanical flow. For example, phrases like 'on other contrary' and 'In conclude the discussion' demonstrate faulty cohesive control. Paragraphing is attempted, but internal paragraph coherence is weak, as sentences often lack clear referential links to one another. These issues restrict the text to a Band 5.0 for coherence and cohesion.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.0
The student uses a limited vocabulary range that is minimally adequate for the task. There are noticeable errors in word formation, choice, and collocation throughout the essay, such as 'energatic' instead of energetic, 'retiredment' instead of retirement, 'clam' instead of calm, and 'experiance' instead of experience. These errors occasionally cause strain for the reader, though the general meaning remains discernible. Attempts to use more advanced vocabulary are largely unsuccessful due to spelling and contextual inaccuracies. This performance fits the Band 5.0 descriptor profile.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0
The grammatical range is very limited, relying heavily on simple structures and repetitive patterns. When the student attempts complex sentences, they are frequently faulty, characterized by missing verbs, incorrect prepositions, and run-on structures. Examples include 'when people in younger age they have full energatic thats why they can do anything what ever they want' and 'older people cant trave more outside and they dont want to try as well'. Punctuation errors, such as missing capital letters and incorrect commas, are pervasive. Frequent grammatical errors cause significant difficulty for the reader, justifying a band score of 4.5, rounded to 5.0 based on positive achievement.
