Student answer (Band 5.5)
It is often said that people intend to change their views and the way of interacting as they grow. I personally agree with this statement and the reasons with relevant illustrations is mentioned in the following paragraphs.
To begin with, when the parents are upbringing their childrens, they teach their young ones how to behave with everyone. The adults, on the other hand intends to cope up things from their fellow classmates. It is well said that - "What you see is what you learn". However, with this fast-paced life, there are considerable changes which are noticeble, and therefore every individual should change their lifestyle and views towards it.
Secondly, there also might be some negative effects on changing their lives. To illustrate this, the professor teaches the student how to be gentle and well-mannered towards others. But, sometimes they might see how to make arguements from their mates. As they grow, they come across more people and they face many situations where they could show their opinions and learn from it. For instance, if someone is lazy and not able to change this habit even after getting hired in a reputed company, could be fired by the department.
Therefore, it is said that changes should be made in everyone's personality in order to perfome well in any situation. This could also be helpful in maintaining peace amongst the family and friends. Adding to it, it also helps a student to do well in their academic progess if they adopts good qualities and try to enhance it.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0
The response addresses the prompt by discussing whether people change their habits and opinions as they grow older, presenting a clear position in agreement. Ideas are introduced, such as the influence of parents during childhood and peers later in life, and supported with a general example regarding workplace behavior. However, the development of these ideas is limited and somewhat superficial. For instance, the transition from childhood learning to adult adaptability is abrupt, and the example regarding a lazy employee is disjointed from the main thread about opinions and habits. Furthermore, the reasoning tends to over-generalize. Therefore, the response aligns best with the Band 6 descriptor, as it addresses all parts of the task with relevant ideas, though some are under-developed.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0
The essay has a coherent overall arrangement and attempts a standard four-paragraph structure with an introduction, two body paragraphs, and a conclusion. Transitional markers such as 'To begin with', 'Secondly', and 'Therefore' are employed to guide the reader through the text, although some cohesive devices feel mechanical or are used inaccurately, such as 'The adults, on the other hand intends to cope up things'. Paragraphing is used sufficiently to separate distinct points, but referencing and logical progression within paragraphs are occasionally faulty, leading to some disjointed connections between sentences, particularly in the body paragraphs. These issues place the response firmly in the Band 6 category for cohesion.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.5
The writer demonstrates an adequate range of vocabulary for the task, successfully incorporating terms such as 'fast-paced life', 'reputed company', and 'personality'. However, there are numerous noticeable errors in word choice, collocation, and phrasing throughout the text. Examples include 'intend to change their views and the way of interacting' instead of 'tend to', 'when the parents are upbringing their childrens', 'cope up things' instead of 'cope with things', and 'perfome'. These lexical inaccuracies and non-standard forms occasionally cause slight strain for the reader, but communication is not impeded. This performance corresponds to a Band 5.5 lexical resource score.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0
The text displays a mix of simple and complex sentence forms, demonstrating an attempt at varied syntactic structures. However, grammatical accuracy is inconsistent. There are frequent errors in verb agreement, tense, and article usage, such as 'when the parents are upbringing', 'intends to cope', 'changes which are noticeble', and 'if someone... could be fired'. Additionally, spelling errors like 'arguements', 'progess', and 'adopts' are present. While these errors do not completely obscure the meaning and the writer manages to communicate their core ideas, the high frequency of structural and mechanical inaccuracies prevents the response from reaching a higher band. This is indicative of a Band 5.0 level of grammatical range and accuracy.
