Student answer (Band 5.5)
As we know, humans adapt their habits from the the starting of their childhood , a baby child pick all habits of their parents for example language, culture, region, and all. So mostly people change their habits with the passage of time. According to my perspective, I thought this statement is really true about individuals. I strongly agree with this statement.
When people are in their childhood they do everything that told by their elders. But with the passage of time they change their habits and opinions.
For example when a child used to drink milk my feeder, but when this child get younger, he change his habit and start drinking milk in glass because everyone change their habits and opinions with the passage of time. Moreover, people should also change their opinions with the passage of time because life is not same for all the time. When we are in our childhood life seems to be very easy and enjoy full but when we get older we realize the life is such a difficult full of worries and emotions.
Furthermore, difficulties of lives encourage people to change their habits and be mature. As the time not remain same as it is people also not remain same. When people get older the gain a lot of experience from their young life phase so they made opinions more mature than younger life in old age life.
In conclusion, I want to say people are not remain same in every stage of life. They change their thoughts, way of life everything with the passage of time.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.5
The response addresses all parts of the task by discussing whether people change their habits and opinions as they get older, presenting a clear position that agrees with the statement. The ideas are relevant, such as moving from childhood dependencies to adult realizations, but they tend to be somewhat under-developed and repetitive, as seen when the writer reiterates 'with the passage of time' multiple times. Examples are provided, such as drinking milk from a feeder versus a glass, though this example is simplistic and slightly awkward. The response meets all basic requirements of the prompt and maintains a clear stance throughout, corresponding well to Band 6 descriptors.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.5
The essay displays a coherent overall arrangement with a recognizable introduction, body paragraphs, and a conclusion. Paragraphing is utilized, though paragraph boundaries and internal transitions can be somewhat mechanical. Cohesive devices such as 'moreover', 'furthermore', and 'in conclusion' are used to signal progression, but referencing is occasionally faulty or repetitive, such as the frequent reuse of 'with the passage of time'. There is a clear logical progression overall, but the links between sentences can feel disjointed at times. These features place the response firmly at Band 6.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.0
The vocabulary used is adequate for the task, but it shows limited flexibility and contains noticeable repetition of basic words and phrases like 'habits', 'opinions', and 'childhood'. The writer attempts some less common vocabulary items such as 'mature', 'perspective', and 'difficulties', but there are inaccuracies in word choice and collocation, such as 'enjoy full' instead of 'enjoyable' and 'drink milk my feeder' instead of 'drink milk from a baby bottle'. Spelling and word-formation errors, such as 'the the starting', do not heavily impede communication, making this a clear Band 5.0 performance.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0
The response uses a mix of simple and some complex sentence forms, though attempts at complex structures often contain grammatical errors. Examples of errors include 'a baby child pick all habits', 'when this child get younger, he change his habit', and 'As the time not remain same as it is people also not remain same'. Punctuation and article usage are frequently flawed, and missing prepositions or incorrect verb tenses appear throughout. However, the meaning is generally clear despite these persistent errors, which fits the Band 5 descriptors well.
