IELTS Writing Task 2 question

It is very common for people to change both their habits and their opinions as they get older.

Do you agree or disagree?

Give reasons for your answer and include any relevant examples from your own knowledge or experience.

Student answer (Band 5.5)

Most of the poeple change their habits and thinking with their age.I strongly agree with this notation and here, I will mention some facts with examples that how people change the thinking and habit with their age.

First and foremost I would like to mention that the man is a social animal; he learns and gets educated from the environment. His thinking, decisions and opinions get changed, when he learns new skills and he gets knowledge about the world. For instance, many people had different stories about the Sun, Moon and Stars but after the huge inventions and discoveries of science their opinion is changed and they belive about the solar system, galaxies and milky ways etc. So with the age the knowledge, man's knowledge increases and he changes his opinions.

Secondly the people also change their habits while they grow. Some habits, they feel bowning with the age and they commit those habits and many of the habits are bounded with the age limits. For example watching cartoons, nail biting, playing with marbels and video gaming etc. are related to specific age groups but when ones passed that age he feels those habits boring. People love to look mature, handsome and smart, so they always try to adopt new things according to their age group.

In conclusion, the people always change their habits, routines, opinions, culture, behavior, and thinkg with the pasage of time. As soon as the get older they learn more from the environment and they get involved in new technologies and innovations which change their thaughts and behavior as well.
