Student answer (Band 7.0)

It is very common for people to change their habits and opinions as they get older. I agree with this statement because people gain more experience, face new responsibilities, and are influenced by changes in their surroundings.

First of all, people’s habits often change because their responsibilities increase as they grow older. For example, young people may spend a lot of time playing games, going out with friends, or staying up late. However, when they become adults and start working, they may develop healthier routines, such as waking up early, managing their time and exercising regularly. This is mainly because their priorities and daily responsibilities change.

Secondly, people can also change their opinions as they gain more life experience. When people are young, they may have strong opinions about certain issues without fully understanding them. As they meet different people and experience different situations, they may become more open-minded. For instance, a person who once believed that working long hours was the only way to achieve success might later realize that maintaining a balance between work and personal life is equally important.

In my own experience, I have noticed that my preferences and opinions have changed over time. Things that I considered important when I was younger are not necessarily my priorities now. I have also become more careful about making decisions because I understand the consequences better.

In conclusion, I strongly agree that people commonly change their habits and opinions as they get older. Greater experience, changing responsibilities and new perspectives naturally influence the way people behave and think.
