Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.5

The response presents a clear position ('i am totally agree with this phenomenon') and attempts to address both aspects of the prompt: habits and opinions. Ideas are introduced regarding life experience shaping opinions and physical decline altering habits. However, the development is limited by the overall short length, falling below the 250-word minimum at 223 words. Furthermore, some supporting examples lack full clarity or detailed explanation, resulting in an under-developed line of argument in places. To achieve a higher band, the response must meet the minimum word count and extend the explanations with more fully realized supporting details.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.0

The essay has a discernible organizational structure with an introduction, body paragraphs, and a conclusion. Transitional phrases such as 'To commence with', 'Moreover', and 'To conclude' are used to signal progression. However, paragraphing is somewhat irregular, and cohesive devices are frequently mechanical or misused (e.g., 'To cite with an example, accoding to the recent survey...'). Referencing is occasionally unclear, and logical flow is hindered by abrupt transitions between sentences, such as moving from childhood poverty directly to valuing money without a smooth connective link. Overall cohesion requires better management.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.0

The vocabulary used is adequate for basic communication, but demonstrates noticeable limitations and frequent errors. There are multiple spelling mistakes ('thier', 'resons', 'disscussed', 'abnd', 'expirience', 'mane', 'oppotunities', 'ruppee', 'preffer', 'accoding', 'chnange', 'retierment') and incorrect word forms ('strengthening of bone' instead of 'strength'). While the student attempts less common items like 'sedentary life style' and 'commitment', inaccuracies in word choice and spelling significantly impede the lexical score and occasionally strain the reader.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0

The writer attempts a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, but control over grammar and punctuation is weak. There are frequent punctuation and capitalization errors, such as starting sentences with lowercase letters ('i am totally agree') and missing spaces after punctuation marks. Sentences often run together without proper coordination or subordination, leading to grammatical slips like 'older people are tend to change', 'most people lost their teeth', and 'people with increasing age thier pattern... are changing'. Errors are frequent and often distract the reader, though they rarely completely obscure meaning.
