Student answer (Band 6.0)
The change in both people's routine and ther perspective have become increasingly common. I completely agree with this view because responsibilities increases and individual gain life experiences.
One major factor for this is that older adult now have families to take care of. This is because, paying bills like school fees, house rents, buying food stuffs for the family are the major responsibilities of a male adult. In addition, a female adult also have to cater for the family such as cooking, taking care of the house and carry out basic house chores. For example, someone may eat fast food more when young but adopt to home made dishes after getting married. A further example in the career path is, a person who enjoys staying up late may start sleeping earlier because of work or family commitments. Therefore, the changing circumstances and priorities will naturally influence people's habits. Moreover, as one may grow older, they may not have the physical strength to keep up with their usual routines which can also contribute to a change in lifestyle.
Furthermore, exposure to different life experinecies and situations can change the opinion of a person. In other words, If a person encounters an individual with various beliefs this helps change how they view things. Unless human beings are exposed to education and job employment, which can lead to creative thinking and innovation of new ideas. For instance, someone may dislike a particular career when young but may end up appreciating it after gaining hands-on experience. Additionally, a young person may prioritise entertainment, but later, place great importance on financial stability and family. This shows why, experience can make people reconsider their opinions they previously had.
In conclusion, I strongly agree that in the contemporary society today, it is relatively common for people to change both their routine and point of view because of the change in their responsibities and various encounters in life.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.5
The response addresses all parts of the task by presenting a clear position and supporting it with relevant explanations and examples. The introduction states a clear agreement with the prompt, and the body paragraphs offer logical arguments related to responsibilities and life experiences. For instance, the writer contrasts fast-food habits in youth with home-cooked meals after marriage, and mentions how career demands alter routines like staying up late. While some ideas could be slightly more fully extended to reach the highest bands, the position is well-maintained and all requirements of the prompt are satisfactorily met. The ideas flow logically from the thesis statement and directly answer the question provided in the writing task instructions, earning a solid Band 6.5 or Band 7.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0
The essay displays a generally coherent overall arrangement with a clear logical organization. Paragraphing is used appropriately to separate different supporting points, such as responsibilities in paragraph two and life experiences in paragraph three. The writer uses cohesive devices like 'One major factor', 'In addition', 'For example', and 'Furthermore' to guide the reader through the text. However, some referencing is slightly faulty, and minor mechanical issues in cohesion occur, such as the awkward transition in the final paragraph 'This shows why, experience can make people...'. Paragraphing is sufficient, and the progression of ideas is generally clear, though occasional mechanical cohesive links prevent it from reaching a higher band. Overall, the structure is easy to follow and meets the criteria for Band 6.0.
Lexical Resource — Band 6.0
The student demonstrates an adequate range of vocabulary for the task, attempting less common lexical items such as 'contemporary society', 'responsibilities', and 'financial stability'. However, there are noticeable spelling and word choice errors, such as 'ther' instead of 'their', 'increases' instead of 'increase', 'individual' instead of 'individuals', 'storing' or 'stuffs' instead of 'stuff', 'experinecies' instead of 'experiences', and 'adopt' instead of 'adapt'. Despite these inaccuracies, communication is not impeded, and the range of vocabulary is sufficient to convey the intended meaning clearly. The writer shows an attempt to use varied terminology related to lifestyle, habits, and personal opinions, placing the essay comfortably within the Band 6 range.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 6.0
The response contains a mix of simple and complex sentence forms. The writer attempts various complex structures, such as conditional and subordinate clauses (e.g., 'If a person encounters an individual with various beliefs this helps change how they view things'). However, there are frequent grammatical errors in subject-verb agreement and pluralization, such as 'responsibilities increases and individual gain', 'older adult now have', 'a female adult also have', and 'Unless human beings are exposed to education and job employment, which can lead to...'. Punctuation errors also occur, such as unnecessary commas ('In other words, If a person...'). While these errors are noticeable and detract from precision, they rarely impede overall communication, reflecting the characteristics of a Band 6 performance.
