Student answer (Band 5.0)

It is considered too normal, when people adapt a new habits and perspectives as they growing. I completely agree with this statement because over the time people have been getting many experiences, which changed their opinions and habits towards life. My inclination is justified in the ensuing paragraphs with valid reasons and appropriate examples.

The main reason is physical changes, which remarkably changed the point of views and habits of the individuals. According to the time people's bodies change significantly, which prevent them to do particular activities, as a result people are required to change their test. children are very enthusiastic and energetic so they can maintain their habit of outdoor playing when they will become older they prefer to stay at home and find outdoor activities quite exhausted. While adults are more physically fit so they choose to do extreme activities such as scuba diving and climbing. They make habit to go to gym daily .

another reaso is maturity, which cultivates rationality and cognivity in people' mind, reducing stubbornness. Consequently, people prefer to do productive and rewarding activities ,instead of entertaining activities, which wastes their significant time. After the certain age when youngsters become mature

they prioritize the thing, which contributes to achieve their carrier goals such as during vacation they choose to do internship rather than go to picnis as the used to do when they child. It makes adults more career oriented.

To conclude, Due to remarkable physical changes and mind development to over the time people oftenly change their perspectives and habits.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.0

The response addresses the prompt and presents a clear position that the writer agrees with the statement. Ideas regarding physical changes and maturity are introduced to support this view. However, the development of these ideas is limited and sometimes unclear due to awkward phrasing and underdeveloped explanations. For instance, the paragraph discussing physical changes attempts to contrast children and adults, but the execution is confused, stating that children maintain outdoor habits while adults stay at home, which then contradicts itself when stating adults choose extreme activities. Similarly, the paragraph on maturity cuts off abruptly ('when youngsters become mature they prioritize the thing...'). Overall, the task is addressed, but the support lacks full extension and clarity, placing it firmly at a band 5.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.0

The essay has a discernible overall structure with an introduction, two body paragraphs, and a conclusion. Paragraphing is attempted, although the third body paragraph is fragmented and abruptly broken. Cohesive devices are used, but they are often basic, repetitive, or mechanically applied, such as 'The main reason is', 'As a result', and 'To conclude'. Progression throughout the essay is hindered by abrupt transitions and confusing sentences, such as 'After the certain age when youngsters become mature they prioritize the thing...'. Referencing is sometimes unclear, making it difficult to follow the logical flow between sentences. This level of organisation and cohesion aligns with a band 5.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

The vocabulary range is limited and minimally adequate for the task. The writer attempts some less common words and phrases, such as 'rationality and cognivity', 'career-oriented', and 'productive and rewarding activities', but these are accompanied by frequent errors in word choice, form, and collocation. Examples include 'adapt a new habits' instead of 'adopt new habits', 'change their test' instead of 'taste', and 'outdoor activities quite exhausted' instead of 'exhausting'. Spelling and morphological errors ('overly', 'frequently' rendered as 'oftenly') are noticeable and occasionally cause some difficulty for the reader, fitting the band 5 descriptors.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

The writer attempts a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, but control over complex forms is weak. There are frequent grammatical and punctuation errors throughout the text that cause difficulty for the reader. Examples include missing articles ('According to the time'), tense and agreement issues ('when people adapt a new habits and perspectives as they growing'), run-on constructions, and incomplete sentences. Punctuation is also problematic, with incorrect comma splices and capitalization issues (e.g., 'another reaso is'). Because complex sentences are frequently faulty and errors are recurrent, this performance warrants a band 5 for grammatical range and accuracy.
