Student answer (Band 5.5)
It is the biggest truth that people are changing their routine and thinking as they are growing older. In my opinion, breaking patterns is most significant for anyone if they want to walk with world, and when we are on greying stage, people should swap their physical and mental quirk.
It is observed very commonly that old aged human beings making their habits more firm and their thinking never changed with the sphere. For instance, my grand pa is very firm regarding his daily manner. He is punctual about to read bhagvad gita at sharp 4 AM. Thus, he does not like to go his relative's home or on holidays.
Moreover, a positive result of this practice is that grandpa go to walk everyday. Therefore, he is fit at the age of 83.
On the other hand, there is an argument that when we ars gwtting old we should change ourselves with time and age. Whatever context of growing up, this instinct guides each person and is a stringer force than the firmness. For example, my maternal grand ma is very cool. Her customs are changes as she is getting old. She is modern and open minded with old traditions. That is why there is credibility to this argument yet the effect of altering manner is completly positive and worthy.
Conclusively, I admit that modifying practices is certain truth of people as they maturing. If we want to be with planet, this statement we must kepp in our mind.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5
The response addresses the prompt regarding whether people change habits and opinions as they grow older, presenting a clear position that they do. Ideas are supported with personal examples, such as the writer's grandfather and grandmother, representing opposing perspectives on maintaining habits versus adapting. However, the development of ideas remains somewhat limited and repetitive. Furthermore, the length check indicates the response contains 249 words, narrowly missing the 250-word minimum requirement. Consequently, a slight penalty has been applied to Task Achievement for under-length, bringing the overall assessment for this criterion to Band 5.5. To improve, ensure you fully develop your supporting arguments with broader implications rather than relying solely on single family anecdotes, and always verify that your word count exceeds the 250-word minimum.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0
The response has a discernible structure with an introduction, body paragraphs, and a conclusion, showing an attempt at logical organization. Cohesive devices such as 'For instance', 'Moreover', and 'On the other hand' are used to signal transitions between ideas. However, paragraphing is somewhat fragmented, with a single-sentence paragraph ('Therefore, he is fit at the age of 83.') that disrupts the flow. Referencing is occasionally unclear, and the overall progression lacks seamless connection between paragraphs. Cohesion is at times mechanical, placing this response firmly in the Band 6 category. To enhance coherence, group related sentences into well-developed paragraphs rather than separating short points into standalone lines, and ensure clearer logical links between your arguments.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.5
The vocabulary used is adequate for the task, allowing the writer to convey basic ideas about aging, habits, and opinions. There are attempts to use less common items and phrases, such as 'open minded', 'credibility', and 'sphere', but these are often accompanied by awkward collocations or lexical errors, such as 'greying stage', 'physical and mental quirk', and 'stringer force'. Spelling errors, including 'completly' and 'kepp', also occur. While communication is not severely impeded, the frequency of lexical inaccuracies prevents the response from reaching Band 7. To achieve a higher score, focus on natural phrasing, correct collocations related to aging, and careful proofreading to eliminate basic spelling mistakes.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
The response displays a mix of simple and complex sentence forms, demonstrating some variety in structure with clauses introduced by 'as', 'if', and 'that'. However, grammatical accuracy is inconsistent. There are frequent errors in verb tense, article usage, and subject-verb agreement, such as 'people are changing their routine... as they are growing older', 'never changed', 'grand pa is very firm regarding his daily manner', 'when we ars gwtting old', and 'customs are changes'. Punctuation is generally acceptable, but structural awkwardness is common. Because errors are frequent throughout and occasionally cause slight strain for the reader, the grammar aligns with Band 5.0. Focusing on tense consistency and precise syntactic structures will greatly improve accuracy.
