IELTS Writing Task 2 question

It is very common for people to change both their habits and their opinions as they get older.

Do you agree or disagree?

Give reasons for your answer and include any relevant examples from your own knowledge or experience.

Student answer (Band 6.0)

Each and every person is different in their habits and opinions and they are changing their perspectives and habits when they growing older because of having experiences in their life.I totally agree with this statement and i will explain my reasons in this essay with examples.

To commence with, the first and foremost reason is humans are social animal and when they are interacting with other people and sharing their own thoughts, they listen and change their beliefs. They can be bad or good, for example a student who has a good friend circle and they are doing so good in their studies and other activities then that student will also change his habits and study more rather than spending time more on social media, in contrast of this, if that student is a intelligent in his class but the friend circle he has not good and not paying very much atttention on studies and saying its not worth to study hard,then there is more chances the intelligent student also change his opinions and habits for study.

Another important reason behind i agree with this statement is that, people learn everyday from social media like watching reels, podcasts and movies. Apart from this they also learn from books which help people to change their habits and opinions. For instance, a study have shown that people who read Atomic Habits book replaced their old habits with new ones which help them to become more productive in their work as compared to who did not.

In conclusion, in today's era people are not stuck at one believe and habits, they are constantly changing theirselves to become best version of theirselves.
