Student answer (Band 5.0)

It is often has people are change their habits and opinion as they grown in their lives. I agree that according our ages and time changes our opinion and habit change because of in young age we are enjoy freely our life and in older age getting sens of responsilibity for life.

One siginificant reason to people change their habits is their responsibility change with there age. where people are young they are enjoy there life mostly free time in traveling, socilize, playing games. when they are in mature phase they have responsibiltyto handle kids, relationship, marriage and there workin office so there habits change into healthy eating with diet plan they are more conscious about health.

People opinions also change with there experiences about life. when they are younger they have listen to there parents, teachers opininon and see there experiances. when the time change they meet different people in life the situation alos change and then they realise and belive that in their opinion. some time they belive long working hours benefit success but some how they work they found their work-related-strees and then they change opinions in work-life-balance is significant in their life.

However, some people are not change in early age they have fit to routines like there personality create in there early age era. so it is closely connected to person personality and their value.

In conclusion, I agree that most people have change their habits and opinions as they gets older. change in resopsibilitis and experience its two major facter are impact to chnage them how live and thing thought the lives.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5

The student addresses the prompt by expressing a clear position that habits and opinions change with age due to shifting responsibilities and life experiences. The main ideas are relevant, discussing how younger people enjoy freedom and listen to authority figures, whereas older adults face responsibilities like family and work, leading to changes in habits and perspectives. However, the development of ideas is somewhat limited and repetitive. Body paragraphs touch upon important concepts like work-life balance and health consciousness, but they lack deeper elaboration and specific examples from personal knowledge or experience, remaining somewhat generalized. Despite these limitations, all parts of the prompt are addressed, fulfilling the requirements for Band 5.5 to Band 6.0.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.0

The response is organized into clear paragraphs, including an introduction, two body paragraphs focusing on habits and opinions respectively, a counter-perspective paragraph, and a conclusion. Overall, there is a coherent arrangement of ideas. However, cohesive devices are frequently faulty, mechanical, or omitted altogether. Sentences often lack appropriate transition markers, and referencing is sometimes unclear, such as the frequent misuse of pronouns ('there' instead of 'their', or vague references like 'when the time change'). Paragraphing is present and logically structured, but the internal cohesion within paragraphs suffers from repetitive phrasing and weak logical links, placing it firmly at a Band 5.0.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

The vocabulary used is basic and repetitive, with frequent word-choice errors that occasionally impede understanding. Examples include 'people are change' instead of 'people change', 'sens of responsilibity', and 'work-related-strees'. While the student attempts some less common vocabulary items such as 'work-life-balance' and 'conscious about health', inaccuracies in spelling and collocation are pervasive throughout the text (e.g., 'socilize', 'facter are impact to chnage'). The range of vocabulary is minimally adequate to convey the basic message, but the high density of lexical errors prevents the score from reaching a Band 6.0, fitting the Band 5.0 descriptor well.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

The text displays a very limited range of grammatical structures, relying heavily on simple sentences or awkward attempts at complex structures that are consistently faulty. There are frequent, noticeable grammatical errors, such as subject-verb agreement issues ('It is often has people are change', 'people change with there experience'), missing articles, and incorrect tense usage. Punctuation is also weak, with run-on clauses and incorrect capitalization in places. Because the errors are frequent and often cause difficulty for the reader in parsing the exact meaning, the performance aligns with Band 4.5, rounded to Band 5.0.
