Student answer (Band 5.5)
In this advanced age, mostly people are adopting new amusement habits like watching movies, listening music, and attending fashion festivals. Some people considers it a positive development in terms of progress while others have notion that it will put in peril our traditional culture. I personaly believe that there should be a balance between these activities for creating a better society to live.
The first kind of people are supporters of such activities as they think going to cinemas for watching movies helps people relax and unwind through their daily tasks. For instance, when families go to music concerts they enjoy a lot and forget their worries and become full of enthusiasm and energy for their tomorrow's tasks. Moreover, going out and having a dinner with friends and family at restaurants helps people increase their productivity and they get motivated about their work after such a great leisure activity.
If we talk about second kind people, they firmly believe that it has putted in danger the real traditional image of society. For example, a decade before mostly people used to stay at home at night and prefer to have fun with their childrens and street friends rather than going to music festival nowadays. So they think that our old age traditions are shrinking very rapidly. In addition, I can remember that when I was in childhood, our grandfather used to tell us a motivational story at every sunday night that would made us motivated for our studies. So overall tradtional culture has it's own importance.
In my opinion, we should maintain a wise balance between modern culture and and our golden age traditional culture, as both have their own merits. We should adopt to modern age leisure activities as they boost up our overall productivity and creativity, while at the same time we should not forget our traditional culture as it is a real identity of a nation in the world.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0
The student addresses the prompt by discussing the shift in habits and opinions as people get older, focusing on modern leisure activities versus traditional culture. A clear position is stated in the introduction ("I personaly believe that there should be a balance...") and is maintained throughout the essay. The ideas are generally relevant, discussing both the benefits of modern habits and the preservation of traditions. However, the connection to the specific phrasing of the prompt—changing habits and opinions as one ages—is somewhat conflated with a general generational comparison, as seen when the student writes about what grandfathers used to do. Despite this slight shift in focus, the task is adequately addressed, and the ideas presented are sufficiently supported with personal examples, aligning well with the Band 6 descriptors.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0
The essay is logically organized into four paragraphs with a clear introduction, two body paragraphs representing opposing views, and a conclusion. Cohesive devices such as "Moreover", "If we talk about second kind people", and "In addition" are utilized to guide the reader through the text, though some transitions are rather mechanical. Paragraphing is used appropriately to separate distinct ideas. However, referencing is occasionally imprecise, such as "The first kind of people" and "second kind people", which slightly disrupts the flow. Overall, the arrangement is coherent and progression is evident, satisfying the requirements for a Band 6 score.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.5
The student uses an adequate range of vocabulary for the task, attempting some less common phrases like "peril our traditional culture", "relax and unwind", and "productivity and creativity". However, there are noticeable lexical inaccuracies and awkward word choices throughout the text, such as "advanced age" instead of modern era, "listening music" missing a preposition, and "putted" which is a non-standard form. Spelling errors like "tradtional" and "personaly" also occur. These errors do not impede overall communication, but they restrict the lexical score to Band 5.5 as they show inconsistency in control.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
The student attempts a mix of simple and complex sentence forms, demonstrating some capability with subordinate clauses (e.g., "when families go to music concerts they enjoy a lot"). However, there are frequent grammatical errors, such as subject-verb agreement issues ("Some people considers"), missing prepositions ("listening music"), incorrect verb forms ("putted in danger"), and punctuation errors. While the meaning remains generally clear and communication is rarely impeded, the high frequency of grammatical slips prevents the response from reaching a Band 6.
