To begin with, as people reach to 65 age, they love to retired themseleves. Therefore, they started to enjoy their every day life by doing what they like, such as doing exercise, reading a newspaper, meet their friends and talk about past. which means they try to leave all the stress about jobs or business whatever they done in the past and change their habits. Furthermore, According to the world health organisation when senior were young they love go out every weekends but now because of the age and health issues they spend most of their times at homes. So, they are changing their behaviour to life.
On the other hand , aged people views are also change day by day. most of the people do not like to eat outside because they wanted to stay healthy . Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0
The response addresses the prompt by clearly taking a stance agreeing that people change habits and opinions as they get older. Main ideas are presented, such as retirement altering daily routines and health concerns shifting lifestyle choices. However, the development of these ideas is somewhat limited and relies heavily on generalisations rather than deep elaboration. Examples provided, such as referencing the World Health Organisation and the habits of senior citizens, are somewhat simplistic and lack specific depth. Nevertheless, all parts of the task are addressed with a clear position throughout, aligning well with the Band 6 descriptors.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5
The essay has a coherent overall arrangement with a recognisable introduction, body paragraphs, and a conclusion. Paragraphing is utilised to separate distinct points, such as changes in habits versus changes in opinions. However, cohesive devices are sometimes mechanical or faulty, as seen in awkward transitions like 'To begin with', 'Furthermore', and 'On the other hand'. Referencing is occasionally unclear, such as pronoun ambiguity ('none of them are like to do this things'). Progression is discernible, but logical flow is disrupted by repetitive phrasing and abrupt sentence structures.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
The student uses an adequate range of vocabulary for the task, successfully attempting less common items such as 'retirement', 'behaviour', and 'health issues'. However, there are notable limitations and word-choice errors that restrict the score, including awkward phrasing like 'most of the person getting change' and 'elabroate'. Spelling errors such as 'absoulatly' and 'advise' (used as a noun) occur. While communication is not severely impeded, the frequency of lexical inaccuracies places this response firmly at the Band 5 level.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
The essay displays a mix of simple and complex sentence forms, attempting structures like subordinate clauses ('as people reach to 65 age'). However, there is a high frequency of grammatical errors, particularly regarding tense consistency, prepositions ('reach to', 'at homes'), and subject-verb agreement ('most of the person getting change'). Punctuation errors, such as stray spaces before commas and missing capitalisation at the beginning of sentences following periods, are also present. These errors frequently cause strain for the reader, fitting the Band 5 descriptor.
