Student answer (Band 5.0)

it has been acknowledge that it is very common for individuals to change their habits and their opinions as they get older. This eassy intends to elabprate both the aspects to prior reaching my opinion in upcoming peragraphs.

First and foremast, It is very common for citizens to change thier habits because of they experience their life when de get older. They know about result of the thing which they will do. Individuals can do thing which is nesessery for them. In young age we want to do many thing which is not important for us. However, when we mature we stop doing unsessry thing. For a Example, in young age people run vehilce too fast, despite it is harmfull for us. In contrast, when we get older we stop doing these type of things. We run vehicle on modrate speed. Thats why I am agree with this statement.

On the other hand, habits can never changed with age, because i thing age is just a number. Those people who wake up early moning, they after a time also wake up on same time. Some habits goes with your life. Habits are formed our part of life. People who heath consious , they never change when they get older. They all time eat after check the food quality. They eat in a mordrate quantitly.

To conclude, it can be analaysed from above discussion that although there are abundant of benefits of change habits, I believe that habits can never change with age.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.0

The response addresses the prompt by discussing both sides of whether people change habits and opinions as they get older, presenting a clear position. However, the development of ideas is limited and repetitive, particularly in the body paragraphs where points lack sufficient extension or detailed support. The example given about driving fast is relevant but simplistic. The conclusion also introduces a slight contradiction by stating there are benefits to changing habits while simultaneously maintaining a stance that habits never change. Overall, the task is addressed, but the depth of support aligns best with Band 5.0.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.0

The text is organized into paragraphs with some basic transitional markers such as 'First and foremost' and 'On the other hand'. However, the overall progression is hampered by disjointed sentences and mechanical transitions. Referencing is occasionally unclear, such as the pronoun use in 'because of they experience their life when de get older'. Paragraphing is attempted, but the grouping of ideas lacks cohesive flow, particularly within the body sections where sentences bounce between ideas without smooth logical transitions. This level of organization reflects Band 5.0 characteristics.

Lexical Resource: Band 4.5

The vocabulary used is limited and repetitive, with frequent spelling errors (e.g., 'eassy', 'elabprate', 'foremast', 'thier', 'nesessery', 'unsessry', 'vehilce', 'harmfull', 'modrate', 'moning', 'consious', 'mordrate', 'analaysed') that occasionally impede communication. While the student attempts some topic-related vocabulary like 'mature', 'habits', and 'opinions', the numerous lexical inaccuracies and restricted range constrain the score to Band 4.5, which is rounded to 5.0 for overall impression or placed firmly at Band 4.5 based on strict error frequency.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 4.5

The response features a very limited range of sentence structures, relying mostly on simple sentences with frequent attempts at complex forms that are grammatically flawed. There are pervasive grammatical errors throughout the text, including subject-verb agreement issues ('habits can never changed'), incorrect prepositions ('eat after check the food quality'), and awkward phrasing ('we after a time also wake up on same time'). These frequent errors cause considerable difficulty for the reader and demonstrate a lack of control over basic and complex grammatical structures, fitting the Band 4.5 descriptors.
