Student answer (Band 5.5)
It is often argued that responsibilities and experiences of life change an individual's daily routines and their thoughts. I completely agree with this statement, and there are myriads of reasons behind this trend that I will discuss in the upcoming paragraphs.
Changes in habits are mainly influenced by increasing responsibilities as per age. The reason is that children grow up in their family with no responsibility until the age of 3-4. As they start schooling at this age and begin following rules and regulations and fulfilling their academic tasks every day. It remains continue till their adult age where they take on more burdens in terms of marriage, kids, job, money, and so on. These amendments in their life bring enormous new tendencies in their regular life. This protocol remain ongoings until their life ends. This is why their daily stickiness to routine never stays stable.
The more life experience boosts, the more human thoughts fluctuate. The reason is that masses with a passion for travel gain tremendous learning exposure to different places. Their ideas and views related to professional and personal life shift every time they learn something new. Career is the best example to describe this common belief, because a person, when start his first job, he/she starts gaining experience and practice alongside working that makes him/her able to grow in life in terms of salary, position, or employment. This is why beliefs remain unstable throughout the life journey.
Although daily life routines and ideas of people fluctuate in their growing age, also there are several reasons behind this assertion that enable those changes.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0
The response addresses all parts of the task by presenting a clear position agreeing with the prompt that habits and opinions change with age. Relevant ideas are introduced, such as the impact of responsibilities on daily routines and how travel or career experiences alter human thoughts. However, some ideas are under-developed or less fully explored. For instance, the discussion on how children grow up with no responsibility and how schooling introduces rules is somewhat repetitive and lacks deeper extension. Similarly, the example of career progression is stated rather than thoroughly unpacked. The main argument is conveyed, but more detailed supporting evidence and better elaboration are needed to push the response into higher territory.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.0
There is a coherent overall arrangement with a clear introduction and separate body paragraphs focusing on habits and thoughts respectively. However, cohesion is sometimes mechanical and referencing is not always clear. Phrases like 'This protocol remain ongoings' and transitional sentences feel awkward and repetitive. While paragraphs are used, the logical progression within paragraphs stumbles due to abrupt shifts and unclear cohesive ties, such as the dangling clause in the final concluding sentence: 'also there are several reasons behind this assertion that enable those changes.' Improving the flow between sentences and employing a wider, more natural range of cohesive devices would significantly strengthen the overall organization.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.5
The writer uses an adequate range of vocabulary for the task, attempting less common items such as 'myriads of reasons', 'amendments', and 'fluctuate'. However, there are noticeable errors in word choice, collocation, and word form that stem from these attempts. Examples include 'increasing responsibilities as per age', 'daily stickiness to routine', 'protocol remain ongoings', and 'growing age'. Despite these lexical inaccuracies and awkward phrasings, communication is not severely impeded, and the meaning remains generally clear to the reader. To improve, the writer needs to focus on natural collocations and precise word choices rather than overly complex or inappropriate synonyms.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
The response displays a mix of simple and complex sentence forms, demonstrating some attempt at complex structures such as conditional and relative clauses. However, there are several errors in grammar and punctuation throughout the text. Examples of structural and agreement issues include 'It remains continue till their adult age', 'This protocol remain ongoings', 'when start his first job, he/she starts gaining', and the fragmented structure of the final paragraph. While these errors are noticeable and require some re-reading, they rarely completely impede communication. To reach higher bands, the writer must exercise better control over verb forms, tense consistency, subject-verb agreement, and avoid sentence fragments.
