Student answer (Band 5.0)

There is no doubt that after a curtain age people start changing their daily habits and thoughts. i personally feel more inclined with this statement.

On the first hand, people who are habitual with their daily routines they can not change their daily doings since they doing from last couples of years they are more used of those thinngs. To take an example of my freind's grandfather they doing exercise since they were young and they running every single day from last 30 to 40 years. he is still stick with their daily routine no metter they get aged.

On the other hand, individuals who are getting old they gained more experince in their daily life by the age. They find the new ways to see the same things as they see or do before. That can change their opinion on difirent situation. To take an example of a kid as, is get olded he do not feel the same happines as he get before whenhe gets first time. Getting older make people more understandble and more precise towards their things so they find the major shift in their habits and thoughts on difierent situations.

To canclude this, No metter in some condtions people do not change their daily habits since they getting older. However, some of the people changed after a age when they start realizing things more carefully and grabbed more experince then likely to more chance they get changed their doings.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.0

The response addresses the task only partially, as the overall word count falls short of the minimum requirement at 244 words. Furthermore, the position is not always clear throughout the essay due to somewhat contradictory statements and underdeveloped ideas. While the writer attempts to present arguments on both sides of the issue, the examples provided lack sufficient detail and extension. For instance, the example about the grandfather or the child's happiness are introduced briefly and lack clear explanation to support the main thesis. To reach a higher level, the writer needs to fully meet the length requirement, maintain a consistent and clear position, and extend all main ideas with relevant, well-developed examples.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5

There is some basic organisation with attempts at paragraphing, but the essay lacks a clear overall progression. Cohesive devices are repetitive and sometimes inaccurate, such as using 'On the first hand' and 'To canclude this'. Referencing is also occasionally unclear, making the logical flow mechanical rather than natural. For example, pronouns like 'he is still stick with their daily routine no metter they get aged' create confusion regarding singular and plural subjects. To improve, the writer should use a wider variety of accurate cohesive devices, ensure logical transitions between paragraphs, and maintain consistent referencing throughout the text.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

The vocabulary range is limited and minimally adequate for the task, containing noticeable errors that cause some difficulty for the reader. There are frequent spelling and word choice errors, such as 'curtain' instead of 'certain', 'freind's', 'thinngs', 'difirent', and 'condtions'. Furthermore, collocation and word forms are often weak, for example writing 'is get olded' instead of 'grows older' or 'gets older'. To achieve a higher score, the writer must expand their lexical repertoire, incorporate less common vocabulary with greater precision, and eliminate spelling and word-formation errors to ensure smooth communication.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

The writer uses a very limited range of sentence structures, and attempts at complex sentences are frequently faulty. There are frequent errors in grammar, subject-verb agreement, and articles, such as 'people who are habitual with their daily routines they can not change', 'since they doing from last couples of years', and 'No metter in some condtions people do not change'. These frequent structural errors can cause difficulty for the reader. To progress, the writer needs to demonstrate better control over basic sentence patterns, use accurate verb tenses and forms consistently, and incorporate error-free complex structures.
