Student answer (Band 6.0)
It is very common for individuals to change their both things such as habits and opinion as they grow elder in their life. I completely agree with this statement and i will explain my point of view in upcoming paragraphs.
To commence with, Mostly people are changing their opinion and habits according to the age because they are gaining more experience and knowledge day by day and they learn from their mistakes and improving them via life experience as well as their thinking becomes more mature. For example, when people are young they think money is more important then other things but when they became older their opinion also gets change, then they think job satisfaction and work life balance more crucial than money.
Moreover, people's habits often change because of their more responsibilities increase with age. During the young period they used to enjoy their time by doing their habits or entertainments from different things and spent money on any cheap stuff which may be unusable for them but still they do not care about any thing. But when they get old, they may have a full-time job, a family, or other responsibilities. And they have to save money for their forthcoming generation instead spending on their habits and they do not get time to do any leisure activities because of hectic schedule. For instance, a university student may frequently eat fast food because it is convenient. After becoming older and more concerned about health, the same person may start cooking nutritious meals at home and exercising regularly.
According to my knowledge our parents also sometimes share their feelings with us how they was enjoying their life before their children or marriage but now their life is totally change due to more responsibilities and limited time to spend on habits or changed according to age.
In conclusion, I agree that it is common for people to change their habits and opinions as they get older. Greater life experience, changing responsibilities, and new priorities can influence both the way people behave and the way they think.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 7.0
Your position is clear from the introduction (“I completely agree”) and remains consistent in the conclusion. You address both habits and opinions, giving relevant reasons: experience and maturity can change opinions, while increased responsibilities can alter routines. The examples about priorities shifting from money to work-life balance and a student changing eating and exercise habits help extend these points. The reference to your parents also adds a personal perspective, although it is less fully explained than the earlier examples. To strengthen the response further, develop that example with a specific change in their habits or opinions and explain its cause. Some claims, such as older people needing to save for the next generation, would also benefit from qualification rather than being presented as generally true.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.5
The response has a clear overall structure: an introduction, two main paragraphs, a personal example, and a conclusion that restates your position. The progression from experience changing opinions to responsibilities changing habits is logical, and signposts such as “Moreover” and “In conclusion” help readers follow it. However, some linking is mechanical, particularly “To commence with,” and the separate paragraph about your parents feels added on rather than integrated into the argument. There is also some repetition of the idea that age brings responsibilities and less time. To make the progression more controlled, connect the parents’ example directly to the responsibilities paragraph and use clearer references when moving between general claims and examples.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.5
You use relevant vocabulary for the topic, including “life experience,” “mature,” “responsibilities,” “work-life balance,” and “nutritious meals.” These choices allow you to express the main ideas and provide some variety. However, word choice and collocation are often inaccurate or unnatural, as in “grow elder,” “their more responsibilities increase,” “their opinion also gets change,” and “forthcoming generation.” Some expressions are also vague, such as “cheap stuff” and “different things.” These issues sometimes make the reader pause to interpret your meaning, which limits the precision of the vocabulary. Aim to learn common word partnerships and choose more exact terms, for example, “as they grow older,” “take on more responsibilities,” and “future generations.”
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.5
You attempt a mix of simple and complex sentences, including clauses with “because,” “when,” and “although,” and the main argument remains understandable. However, errors occur across verb forms, agreement, articles, and sentence construction. Examples include “when they became older,” “their opinion also gets change,” “how they was enjoying,” and “their life is totally change.” The opening sentence, “change their both things,” also has an awkward grammatical structure. Some long sentences combine several ideas without clear control, especially the sentence beginning “During the young period.” Work on consistent tense, subject–verb agreement, and forming clauses accurately; then check each sentence for a clear subject and main verb. Greater accuracy in these areas would make your varied structures easier to follow.
