Student answer (Band 6.0)
Nowadays, people are changing their habit and opinion as they retire. I personally believe that people do alter their habit and view. This essay will discuss one the many reasons such as age and learning from the experiences.
The most significant reason is lack of physical fitness as they grow older. Habits are based on the age of the individual. They could spend leisure time playing cricket, football, and basketball during early 20's or 30's. These activities keep their mental and physical health at the peak. Moreover, their body start showing sign of fatigue and tiredness as they age. This is becasue people do not get enough nutrition and did not focus on their physical fitness. For example, a recent study by the University of Toronto conducted on 100 individuals, 60% agreed that they could not follow their habit as they are not fit due to improper diet and lack of physical fitness.
Additionaly, number of people have learned a lot from their experiences. They have seen trains running on coal and electricity supply to bullet trains moving at superfast speed. They have experienced events in personal and professional life, which has made foundation in their life. For instance, a senior product manager with 20 years of experience in consutrucion field could supervise and train a new engineer, who is more advanced and knowledgable in the dtechnology. This is because, practical knowledge outweigh books.
In conclusion, while it's true that people should stick with same principle for an entire life, due to factors such as age, and life lession citizens change their habit and opinions.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0
Your position is clear: you agree that people change their habits and opinions as they age, and you give two relevant reasons—physical changes and learning through experience. The examples about older adults giving up sports and an experienced manager guiding a newer engineer help connect your points to the topic. However, the discussion of opinions is less fully developed than the discussion of habits: the essay mainly explains changes in physical activity and practical knowledge, without showing clearly how experience changes a person’s views. Some claims, such as the study statistic, are presented without explaining what they demonstrate. Develop this link and explain each example more explicitly to make the response more complete and persuasive.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0
The response has a clear overall structure, with an introduction, two body paragraphs presenting separate reasons, and a conclusion. Topic sentences such as “The most significant reason” and “Additionally” help signal the direction of each paragraph, and examples generally follow the ideas they support. However, some connections are abrupt or unclear. The transition from physical fitness to nutrition, for example, does not fully explain why older people cannot maintain particular habits. The train example also shifts quickly from technological change to personal experience. Use clearer links between claims and examples, and make the conclusion reflect the two main arguments more precisely. A few linking phrases feel formulaic, so vary them and ensure each one expresses the relationship between ideas.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.5
You use a range of topic-related vocabulary, including “physical fitness,” “fatigue,” “experiences,” “supervise,” and “practical knowledge.” These choices allow you to discuss both ageing and learning from experience, and the meaning is generally understandable. However, several word choices and collocations are inaccurate or awkward, such as “change their habit,” “made foundation in their life,” and “stick with same principle.” There are also spelling errors, including “becasue,” “consutrucion,” and “knowledgable,” which reduce the accuracy of the vocabulary. Aim for more natural phrases and check spelling carefully; for example, describe people as changing “their habits and opinions” and say experience “shapes their outlook.”
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.5
You attempt both simple and more complex sentence forms, including a relative clause in “a senior product manager … who could supervise and train a new engineer” and a subordinate clause beginning “as they age.” Most sentences communicate the intended meaning, but some grammatical errors remain. For example, “their body start showing” has a subject–verb agreement problem, while “people do not get enough nutrition and did not focus” shifts tense within the same explanation. Articles and plurals are also inconsistent, as in “stick with same principle.” Review agreement, tense consistency, and article use, and proofread sentence boundaries and punctuation. More accurate control of these patterns would make your ideas easier to follow while preserving the range of structures you are attempting.
