Student answer (Band 6.0)

It easily can be seen that masses change their habits and openions as they become senior citizens. I am accord with this statement because responsibilites and life experience force them to change their minds and habits.

To commence with, responsibilites. To make it clear, in teenagers life is mostly influenced by their friends and family members and they do not have much pressure about the future as well as career either. In young age they slowly recognize their responsiblities towards their family and own future. For Example, a servey was conducted by Times of India that in age of 16 or 17, 51% young-ones prefer to play video games and hovering around but as they get wiser, 62% of humans prefer to study, excercise and sometime jobs. As a result, responsibilites and age factor make them to change their habits.

Further supporting factor is life experiece. To explain it, mortals have to face lots of ups and downs in their life which makes them not only a stronger but also hard working person. Apart from this, they meet various persons while bussiness, education, travel which trigger them to change their point of view and habits. For instance, a famous singer DiljIt Dosanjh once said in interview that he was not serious about future and did not even think about career until his 19s. But, when he gets elder he started singing to earn bread and butter and now he is a famous singer. Hence, people change their routines and points according to age.

In conclusion, I agree that changing opinions and habits is not a big deal for person because it all depends upon the responsilities and life experience

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 7.0

Your position is clear from the introduction: you agree that people change their habits and opinions as they age. You address both aspects of the prompt and give two relevant reasons—greater responsibility and life experience—supported by examples about young people’s priorities and Diljit Dosanjh. This gives the response a clear, relevant argument. The examples are useful, although the survey claim is broad and the singer’s story mainly illustrates a change in career priorities rather than a change in opinion. To strengthen the response further, explain more explicitly how each example demonstrates changing opinions as well as habits, and qualify general claims about how people behave at different ages. The conclusion restates your view, but could synthesise the two reasons more fully.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.5

The essay has a recognisable structure: an introduction, two body paragraphs presenting separate reasons, and a conclusion. The progression from responsibility to life experience is logical, and signposts such as “To commence with,” “Further supporting factor,” and “In conclusion” help readers follow the argument. This clear overall organisation is a strength. However, some linking is mechanical, and the opening fragment “To commence with, responsibilities” interrupts the flow rather than introducing a complete point. Within paragraphs, the connection between claims and examples could be made more explicit; for instance, explain how the singer’s experience supports the point about changing opinions. Use fewer formulaic transitions and build smoother links between each reason, its explanation, and its example.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.5

You attempt a range of topic-related vocabulary, including “responsibilities,” “life experience,” “point of view,” and “ups and downs,” and the main ideas remain understandable. There are also attempts at less common expressions, such as “bread and butter.” However, noticeable spelling and word-choice errors reduce precision: “openions,” “responsiblities,” “experiece,” and “bussiness” recur or appear in key parts of the response. Some phrases are unnatural or imprecise, including “masses,” “become senior citizens,” “a stronger,” and “change their routines and points.” Aim for accurate, natural collocations rather than elevated-sounding wording. Proofread spelling carefully and choose direct expressions such as “people,” “grow older,” and “change their views.”

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.5

You use both simple and complex sentence forms, including clauses with “because,” “which,” and “as,” so there is some variety in the writing. The overall meaning is generally recoverable, but errors in sentence construction and verb forms are frequent enough to affect fluency. For example, “I am accord with this statement” has an incorrect verb pattern, while “they slowly recognize their responsibilities” shifts awkwardly from the past-oriented discussion to the present. “When he gets elder he started singing” also mixes tenses and has an unclear clause structure. The fragment “To commence with, responsibilities” is not a complete sentence, and “make them to change” uses an incorrect infinitive pattern. Practise complete sentence structures, consistent tense choices, and accurate verb patterns.
