Student answer (Band 5.5)
It is often argued that people are tend to change their interests and opinions as they get older and it has few common reasons such as they get mature and may understand things better. I strongly agree with this view because people start giving attention on important things and may learn new hobbies when they age.
The primary reason why I agree with this viewpoint is that if poeple try to learn or put their interest in new habits, they can become quick adaptive to any environment. This is because when they start looking at others prospective regading anything they might be able to make better decisions and to achieve desired results. For example, when someone migrate to another place for education or work, and change their opinions or insterests according to the situation, can become successful.
The another significant reason is that, when people get older and they become mature, and start realising choosing their role models according to their choice. In particular, young people are tend to get influenced easily by watching other people, especially due to social media. For instance, many football lovers start watching football due to their favourite players and they starting choosing career in same way but when they get older they can understand their needs and preferences according to their future.
To conclude, I firmly agree that changing habits and interests are very common. This is primarily because they get mature by age and become more responsible for their actions and needs.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5
Your position is clear: you strongly agree that people change as they age, and you give two relevant reasons—adapting to new environments and becoming more mature in their choices. The examples about moving for education or work and young football fans help illustrate these points. However, the discussion focuses more on interests and opinions than on changes in habits, so the task is only partly covered. Some explanations are also unclear or under-developed, particularly how changing interests leads to success and how role models relate to changing habits. The response is also one word below the required minimum. Develop both parts of the question more evenly and explain each example’s connection to your argument.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0
The response has a clear overall structure: an introduction, two body paragraphs presenting separate reasons, and a conclusion that restates your position. Linking phrases such as “The primary reason,” “For example,” and “To conclude” make the progression easy to follow. However, some connections within sentences are difficult to track, especially in the second body paragraph, where the shift from maturity to role models and then to football careers is abrupt. The opening sentence also combines several ideas without a clear progression. Use clearer topic sentences and make the relationship between each example and its main point explicit. This would make cohesion less mechanical and improve the flow between ideas.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.5
You use a relevant range of vocabulary for the topic, including “viewpoint,” “environment,” “role models,” “preferences,” and “responsible.” These choices help communicate your main ideas, and the meaning is generally understandable. However, several inaccurate word choices, collocations, and spelling errors reduce precision: “quick adaptive,” “others prospective,” “regading,” and “insterests.” Some phrases are also awkward, such as “put their interest in new habits” and “choosing career in same way.” Aim to learn common word partnerships and check spelling carefully. For example, “adapt quickly,” “other people’s perspectives,” and “develop new interests” would express your ideas more naturally and precisely.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple and complex sentence forms, including conditional and subordinate clauses, as in “if people try to learn…” and “when they start looking at others…”. This shows an effort to vary sentence structure. However, errors are frequent, and some sentences are difficult to follow. Examples include “people are tend to change,” “The another significant reason is that,” and “they starting choosing career.” There are also problems with agreement, articles, verb forms, and sentence construction, such as the incomplete structure beginning “For example, when someone migrate…”. Practise building complete sentences with accurate subject–verb agreement and verb forms, then check each clause for a clear subject and main verb.
