Student answer (Band 5.5)

In modern era, very common people change their opinions and habits when they get older. I am strongly agree with this statement also I will discuss in the following paragraphs.

Firstly, people change their prespective as they get older because after one age their thinking of way change due to responsibilities. For instance, in younger age most of people spend money on waste things like clothes, watching movies and so on because they only think about own fun and enjoyment. They do not care others feeling but after marriage their responsibilities chages and increase so that they feel responsible and mature. After that they take the decision for family and more focus on earning money for better future.

Moreover, people change their habits and opinions because they follow their experience. They learn many things from own mistakes and problems. So,after that they would not follows these mistakes in future. Therefore, they change their thoughts and perspective when they get older and learn from experiences. For example, youger people who work in company they take the decisions for comany's growth and improvement and some they took worng decision which shows negative results but they learn from those decisions and don't follow in upcomes time.

In conclusion, most of people change their opinions and habits as they get older because of lots of responsibilities and learn from their experience after one age.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0

Your position is clear from the opening: you strongly agree that people change their habits and opinions as they age. You address both parts of the question, linking change to increased responsibilities and learning from experience, and the examples about family finances and workplace decisions are relevant. However, the workplace example is difficult to follow and does not clearly show how an opinion or habit changes; the point about responsibilities is more fully explained than the point about learning from mistakes. The response also contains 227 words, so it does not meet the 250-word minimum. Develop the second reason with a specific, clearly explained example and add enough relevant detail to meet the required length.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.5

The response has a clear overall structure: an introduction, two body paragraphs presenting separate reasons, and a conclusion that restates your view. Sequencing words such as “Firstly,” “Moreover,” and “In conclusion” help readers follow the main progression, and the examples are placed alongside the points they support. This coherent arrangement is a strength. Some links within sentences are less smooth, however, and the workplace example moves from company decisions to negative results and future behaviour without making each step explicit. Punctuation and spacing also interrupt the flow in places. To strengthen cohesion further, use clearer references between ideas and explain how each example demonstrates the change you are discussing, rather than relying mainly on transition words.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You use enough topic-related vocabulary to communicate your main ideas, including “responsibilities,” “mature,” “experience,” and “perspective.” These terms help you discuss how people may change as they age. However, the range is limited and several word-choice, collocation, and spelling problems make parts of the response less clear or natural. For example, “waste things” does not express your intended meaning as precisely as “unnecessary purchases,” while “follow their experience” is an awkward way to describe learning from experience. Errors such as “prespective,” “chages,” and “comany's” also reduce accuracy. Build a wider set of natural phrases for discussing personal development, and check spelling and collocations during revision.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt both simple and more complex sentences, including explanations with “because” and a contrast introduced by “but.” This gives the response some structural variety, and your main position is generally understandable. However, control is inconsistent: “I am strongly agree” has an incorrect verb form, and “most of people spend” and “they would not follows” show problems with articles and agreement. Some sentences also run together, as in the section beginning “They do not care others feeling but after marriage,” where punctuation and sentence boundaries need attention. Practise accurate subject–verb agreement, verb forms after modal verbs, and article use. Breaking longer sentences into clearly punctuated units will also make your reasoning easier to follow.
