Student answer (Band 6.0)
To commence with , apparently with the passage of time by oping maturity as individuals usually ulter their hobbies and perceptions. I am strongly agreed with this statement as this fact is undeniable because with the experience of life people's vision get changed .
Firstly, the most prominent reason of the above mentioned trend is that as anyone grows they intract with practical life as compared to childhood .usually young ones remain chill and their hobbies are constructed accordingly they remain busy in playful activities whereas when they get older the responsibilities grab them and they become quiet . for example, when someone get married they sholder huge responsibilities of family and working life . they remain busy in working and earning livelihood due to which they left with very little time to spend on hobbies. conversly child remain burdenfree from these type of responsibilities .
secondly ,undoubtedly there are many reasons for the change of their opinions simultaniously because when they get sense of real life by getting mature their views not remain the same as earlies . for instance, according to me mostly kids have narroe horizon of thinking they just live the present and dont bother about future but on the flip side elder ones always thing about future and their opiniones get a drastic shift towards life perception .A little child just think about fantacy and frinds whereas adult thought that how society will thibg about them they make decisions as per the norms of the socity and they start to remain dutiful . moreover they have more intelligence about spending life.
in conclusion , I believe that more age means more duties and these all things are prominent cause of changing opinioins and habites among people .

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.5
Your position is clear from the opening: you strongly agree that people’s habits and opinions change with age. You address both parts of the question, linking changing hobbies to adult responsibilities and changing opinions to greater maturity and concern about the future. The marriage-and-work example supports the first point, while the contrast between children and adults illustrates the second. These are relevant reasons, but the discussion is uneven: the first point is explained more concretely, whereas the claims about children’s narrow thinking and adults’ social concerns are broad and would benefit from a specific example or further explanation. Your conclusion restates your view, though it could draw the two reasons together more precisely. This is a solid response with some ideas not yet fully developed.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.5
The response has a recognisable structure: an introduction, two body paragraphs signposted by “Firstly” and “secondly,” and a conclusion. The ideas generally progress from changing hobbies to changing opinions, and examples are placed alongside the points they support. This gives the essay an overall coherent arrangement. However, some connections are mechanical or unclear. For example, “conversly child remain burdenfree” shifts abruptly from adult responsibilities to children, and the long sequence beginning “A little child just think…” combines several related claims without clear separation. Linking phrases such as “moreover” and “on the flip side” are used, but the relationships between ideas are not always precise. Clearer sentence boundaries and more explicit links between each claim and its example would make the progression smoother.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You attempt vocabulary relevant to the topic, including “responsibilities,” “perceptions,” “livelihood,” “norms,” and “drastic shift.” These choices show an effort to discuss maturity and social change rather than relying only on basic words. However, the range is limited by repeated general terms such as “life,” “change,” and “think,” while several inaccurate word choices and collocations make parts difficult to understand. Examples include “by oping maturity,” “the responsibilities grab them,” and “their opinions get a drastic shift.” Spelling errors such as “ulter,” “narroe,” and “socity” also reduce clarity. Aim for accurate, natural combinations and check spelling carefully; precision will help your ideas come across more confidently.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple and complex sentences, including clauses introduced by “because,” “whereas,” and “when.” This gives you a basis for expressing comparisons and reasons. However, control is inconsistent, and errors in verb forms, agreement, articles, and sentence boundaries often make the reader work to follow the meaning. For example, “people’s vision get changed” needs subject–verb agreement, while “when someone get married they sholder huge responsibilities” has an incorrect verb form and needs clearer punctuation. In “a little child just think,” the singular subject also requires a matching verb. Several sentences run together, particularly in the second body paragraph. Practise building shorter accurate sentences first, then combine them with subordinate clauses and check agreement and punctuation.
