Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 4.0
You state a clear position with “I am strongly agree with this opinion” and give a relevant personal example about reducing mobile-phone use after learning about its effects. This shows an attempt to address the topic, but the response develops only one side of the question: the discussion of changing opinions is introduced with “On other hand opinion is also p” and then stops. The example is also brief, with little explanation of how growing older led to the change. The response is substantially below the required minimum length, so it cannot provide the reasons and relevant examples needed to develop the answer. To improve, address both habits and opinions, explain each change, and support your position with fuller examples.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 4.0
The response has an identifiable opening, followed by a paragraph about a personal habit, and it uses basic signposts such as “First off all” and “On other hand.” These give the reader some indication of the intended sequence. However, the progression is incomplete: the second point about opinions ends abruptly, and the opening promises “some facts” without establishing a clear plan. Several ideas are crowded together, while the short response does not develop a complete beginning, middle, and conclusion. Build separate paragraphs for your position, each main reason, and a conclusion. Use linking expressions to show the relationship between ideas, and ensure each paragraph is completed before moving on.
Lexical Resource: Band 4.5
You use some topic-relevant vocabulary, including “habits,” “opinions,” “side effects,” “social media,” and “leisure time,” so the main example is generally understandable. However, the range is basic and several spelling and word-choice errors make the writing less clear or natural, such as “endivual,” “habbits,” “creation,” and “worries about myself.” Some phrases are also awkward, including “using mobile phones all over the day and night.” Aim for accurate spelling and more natural collocations, and choose vocabulary that precisely expresses your meaning. For example, you could describe a habit as “spending excessive time on my phone” and explain that your parents were “concerned about my phone use.”
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 4.5
You attempt to connect ideas using clauses such as “so as I grew up I come to know about the side effects,” showing some effort to form more than simple sentences. However, grammatical errors are frequent and sometimes make the intended meaning difficult to follow. Examples include “I am strongly agree,” “every body have,” “my parents was,” and the tense shift from “I was addicted” to “I come to know” and “I stop.” Sentence boundaries and capitalisation are also inconsistent, as in the opening, which runs into “i am” without a clear sentence break. Practise subject–verb agreement, consistent past-tense narration, and complete sentence structures. Proofread punctuation and capital letters after drafting.
