Student answer (Band 5.5)
As people grow older, their habits and perspective also changes. I largely agree with the statement beacuse habits are not uniform, it will change according to time. However, some people remain restricted to their old habits and opinions.
Firstly, habits and opinions are not constent, they will flactuate during time becuase as human get old their thinking, their perspective and their nature also change. For example, Sachin Tendulkar firstly wanted to become a bowler in cricket but as time passed he will became batsman and as a palyer he make many world record. Moreover, when a person is a younger, at that time he is not able to make good decison but when he get older, he is eligible for make correct habits
Futhermore, with growing age a individual get exposed to the world which helps him in better understanding of the things. As a result person changes his habits. Personal experinces and exposure shapes individuals ideology and belief, human learn things throughout their life and their mindset keeps changing and evolving with time. For instance, an individual who used to eat unhealthy and had no fixed sleep schedule might become a fitness freak as he grow older. With age people start making better decisions for themself and their future.
To conclude, I strongly belive that people changes thier habits and opinions as they grow older. Although some people rigid with their values and belif, many changes according to time.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0
You give a clear position, agreeing that habits and opinions often change with age, while acknowledging that some people remain attached to their old views. Both body paragraphs offer relevant support: the Sachin Tendulkar example illustrates a change in ambition, and the fitness example shows how experience can alter lifestyle. However, some points are asserted rather than fully explained. For instance, the claim that younger people cannot make good decisions is broad, and the link between age and “correct habits” needs clarification. The examples could also explain more directly how opinions, as well as habits, change. The response is 10 words below the required minimum, so it does not fully meet the task’s length requirement; develop the explanations and examples further.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0
The response has a recognisable overall structure: an introduction, two supporting paragraphs, and a conclusion. The ideas generally progress from change over time to the influence of exposure and experience, and signposts such as “Firstly,” “Furthermore,” and “To conclude” help readers follow this sequence. However, some connections are mechanical or unclear. The first body paragraph moves from Tendulkar’s career to young people’s decision-making without explaining the relationship between these points. In the second paragraph, several similar claims about exposure, experience, learning, and changing mindsets are placed together, creating some repetition. Use clearer links between each claim and its example, and organise each paragraph around one main reason to make the progression more controlled.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use enough topic-related vocabulary to communicate the main ideas, including “perspective,” “exposed to the world,” “personal experiences,” and “mindset.” There are also attempts at more specific expressions, such as “fixed sleep schedule” and “fitness freak.” However, spelling errors are noticeable, including “beacuse,” “constent,” “flactuate,” and “experinces,” and some word choices or collocations are inaccurate: “restricted to their old habits” and “changes according to time” sound unnatural in context. Repetition of “habits,” “change,” and “older” also limits variety. Check spelling carefully and build a wider set of natural phrases for describing changing beliefs and behaviour; this would make the vocabulary more precise and fluent.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple and complex sentences, including a reason clause with “because” and a result structure beginning “As a result.” This gives the response some variety, and the main message is usually understandable. However, errors in agreement, verb forms, articles, and sentence construction recur. For example, “their habits and perspective also changes” should use a plural verb, while “as a palyer he make many world record” has problems with tense and number. The sentence beginning “Firstly” also shifts between present and future forms (“are not,” “will fluctuate”), making the time reference unclear. Practise checking subject–verb agreement and keeping verb tenses consistent, especially in examples and general statements, while retaining your attempts at complex sentences.
