Student answer (Band 6.0)
As people grow old their opinions and habits change with time. They go through different phases of life, experience different things, their lifestyle changes as a result opinions and habits also change. I agree with this statement. let's discuss this in detail.
As a child when we step into school life, we look at life from completely different prespective. Our thoughts are not mature enough, we find pleasure and amusement in small acheivements. Long term life goals are not set. Everyday we get to learn something new, sometimes it's a new emotion, sometimes a new theory and sometimes just an emotion.
When we step into college life we are more focused towrds the life goals. At the same time we get to experience different distractions, good and bad habits at the same time. We are building our future and adapting some long term lifestyle at the same time. It is the most vulnerable phase of life.
After that practical life begans. As an adult we have to work for our survival and build a family too. One can not remain same in this phase of life as he was in his previous years. Person changes with experience of each passing day in this life. Everyone is learning to balance his proffesional and personal life. Important descions are made on the base of life spent.
As a result it not only depends on people but it's a need of hour to change themselves with time and experience. Moreover habits of the person also change with changing health as the person grows old.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.5
Your position is clear from the introduction: “I agree with this statement,” and the response stays focused on how people’s habits and opinions change through childhood, college, adulthood, and ageing. These life-stage examples are relevant and address both parts of the question. The explanation that work and family responsibilities affect adults’ behaviour is particularly pertinent. However, some points are asserted rather than explained: for example, the college years are called “the most vulnerable phase” without clarifying why, and the final point about health-related habit changes is not illustrated. To strengthen the response, develop fewer examples in more depth and show specifically how an experience changes a person’s opinion as well as their habits.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.5
The response has a coherent overall arrangement, moving chronologically from childhood to college and then adult life. Separate paragraphs make these stages easy to follow, and phrases such as “At the same time” and “As a result” help signal relationships between ideas. The progression is clear, though some linking is mechanical or imprecise: “As a result” does not clearly follow from the preceding point, and “Moreover” introduces the health point without developing its connection to the argument. The opening also ends with “let’s discuss this in detail,” which is a conversational signpost rather than a useful transition. For stronger cohesion, connect each life stage explicitly to the central claim and use clearer references between sentences.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.5
You use relevant vocabulary for discussing life stages and change, including “long term life goals,” “distractions,” “survival,” and “balance his professional and personal life.” This gives you enough range to communicate the main ideas, and the meaning is generally understandable. However, spelling errors such as “prespective,” “acheivements,” “towrds,” “proffesional,” and “descions” are noticeable. Some expressions are also imprecise or unnatural, including “practical life begans,” “on the base of life spent,” and “need of hour.” Aim for more accurate collocations and check spelling carefully. Using precise phrases such as “enter the workforce” or “based on past experience” would make the argument sound more natural and controlled.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.5
You attempt a mix of simple and complex sentences, including clauses beginning “As a child” and “When we step into college life,” and most of the argument remains understandable. However, errors in sentence construction and grammatical forms are evident. For example, “their lifestyle changes as a result opinions and habits also change” needs clearer punctuation or a linking word, while “One can not remain same” is missing an article and uses an awkward negative form. There are also problems with agreement and verb forms in “practical life begans” and “it not only depends on people.” Improve accuracy by checking articles, subject–verb agreement, and sentence boundaries, while continuing to practise complex clauses.
