Student answer (Band 5.0)

In recent years, it is becoming more common for human to shifitng their daily habits and their perspective as they get older, However, I strongly believe that by the time lifestyle and environment change which make person think or react differently.

First, Number one reason to think this way is becasue your need update as you get younger for example, a small child used to play with toys but by the period he/she understand choices, words, colours and many thing. Neverthless, after certain age child go to school and in the school they learned about things basic studies etc such as, when children get in school they no longer play with toys but mobile phone or particular games.

Furthermore, talking about habits and opinion i remember a time i changed my pattern of living and the way i view. I used to be a high school student and most of the time i went to the institue by a cycle but when i got into university two wheeler got my attention and from choosing cycle i shifted to liking electric vehicles.

Secondly, i used to watch cartoons on tv but i saw my other friends were watching animies and real life drama and from that moment i changed my opinion on viewing cartoons. To add more, There are many uncertain accidents in life that makes you change your habits my grandfather used to eat sugry food and they got dignosed with diabities which makes him avoid sugar.

In conclusion, i personally think that People often change their style, habits, opinion as they get older which is perfectly normal and i totally agree with this fact.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0

Your position is clear: you agree that people commonly change their habits and opinions as they grow older. You address both parts of the question and give relevant examples, including moving from cycling to an electric vehicle and your grandfather avoiding sugar after being diagnosed with diabetes. These examples make the response personal and connected to the topic. However, some points are less fully explained: the childhood example shifts between toys, school, and phones without clearly showing how age changes opinions, and the cartoons example does not explain what opinion changed. Develop each example by stating the change, its cause, and how it supports your view.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 4.5

The response has an introduction, body paragraphs, and a conclusion, and the examples generally relate to the central position. However, progression within paragraphs is sometimes difficult to follow. The first body paragraph moves from children’s toys to school and mobile phones without a clear link, while the next combines a personal transport example, cartoons, and your grandfather’s diet. Connect each paragraph to one main idea and give each example its own clear explanation. Some linking phrases, such as “First, Number one reason” and “Furthermore” followed by “Secondly,” feel mechanical or do not accurately signal the relationship between ideas. Use fewer, more precise transitions and make references such as “from that moment” explicit.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You use enough topic-related vocabulary to communicate your main ideas, including “daily habits,” “perspective,” “pattern of living,” and “change their opinion.” There are also attempts at more specific expressions, such as “electric vehicles” and “uncertain accidents.” However, word choice and spelling errors are noticeable and sometimes make the reader pause: “shifitng,” “institue,” “animies,” and “dignosed” are misspelled, while “uncertain accidents” is not a natural phrase in this context. Some wording is repetitive, particularly “change” and “habits.” Build accuracy by checking spelling and learning common collocations, and use more precise terms such as “unexpected events” when describing life experiences.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt both simple and more complex sentences, including a clause beginning “which makes him avoid sugar,” and your overall meaning is usually understandable. However, some sentence structures and verb forms are inaccurate. For example, “by the time lifestyle and environment change which make person think” lacks a clear grammatical structure, and “when children get in school they no longer play” shifts awkwardly between general and past-time narration. There are also issues with articles, agreement, and punctuation, as in “a small child” followed by “many thing” and the comma splice in the opening. Practise building complete sentences with clear subjects and verbs, and check agreement, articles, and sentence boundaries.
