Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5

Your position is clear: you agree that habits and opinions change with age, and you address both parts of the question. The examples from your childhood and working life are relevant, as is the point that experience can alter opinions. However, the reasons remain broad and are not developed enough to show clearly how or why these changes happen. For example, “different stages” and “different difficulties in life” are mentioned without a specific explanation or illustrative detail. The discussion of habits also relies mainly on repeating that routines change as people grow older. To strengthen the response, explain one concrete cause for each type of change and develop an example that demonstrates it.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5

The response has a recognisable structure, with an introduction, separate paragraphs on habits and opinions, and a concluding statement. This helps the reader identify your main position and the two areas you discuss. However, progression within paragraphs is limited, and several ideas repeat rather than build on one another—for instance, the claim that habits change through life is restated in several forms. Linking phrases such as “First of all,” “Moreover,” and “Further more” are used, but they sometimes connect sentences mechanically rather than clarify the relationship between ideas. Some references are also unclear, as in “the person opine.” Organise each body paragraph around one reason, then explain and illustrate it before moving to the next point.

Lexical Resource: Band 4.5

You use a basic range of vocabulary relevant to the topic, including “habits,” “opinions,” “life experience,” and “daily life routine,” so the general meaning is usually understandable. However, vocabulary is repetitive and several word choices or forms are inaccurate, which sometimes makes the message difficult to follow. Examples include “multipul habits,” “house man,” “the person opine,” and “variety of fields.” Spelling errors such as “chnge,” “opinios,” and “diculties” also reduce clarity. Aim to use precise, natural phrases for life stages and changing views, and check spelling and word forms carefully. Replacing repeated general terms with accurate topic-specific expressions would make your ideas clearer.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt both simple statements and longer sentences, including clauses introduced by “when” and “because.” This shows some effort to connect ideas, but the range is limited and complex sentences are often faulty. Errors in agreement and verb forms appear in phrases such as “the habits get change,” “the opinion get change,” and “as i growed up.” Articles and sentence boundaries also need attention: the opening sentence joins several ideas without clear punctuation, while “when i person get more of it” is difficult to interpret. These problems sometimes make the reader work to understand your meaning. Practise accurate present and past forms, subject–verb agreement, and complete sentence construction before adding more complex clauses.
