Student answer (Band 5.5)

It has been observed that, people change their routine a nd opinion as they grow more. I firmly agree with the given statment. My inclination is elaborate in ensuing paraghraph and relevant examples.

The formost argument to justify my stand is that priorities, as people grow old their prioritites chnage. To explantion my point, I want to start with adluthood, at that age most of them focus on either their looks or study. When they reach late 30s' or early 40s' their prorirty change into family and job. Finally when they are old they want to enjoy life and give their time to family. For example, in India I use to live in joint family, same time when I was focuing on my look and study my parents were busy in making money for my future and my grandparent were busy in rasing me.

Furthermore, the other reason to prove my point is that situation. Like older people always think about outcome when younger one think about their selve and enjoyment. For exmaple, protest, right now in india there is protest ongiong and when Gen Z's want to replace the helth minister older ones thinking and giving onion not to replace. Adult took action fast withot thinking.

Moreover, indivuals change their habit with age, the same person like me I use to wake up early in the morning for school and now as a adult bening in my 20s', I like to wake up and late due to my habit of sleeping late. With the age their habit change accordingly their lifestyle.

In concusion, I strongly believe that becuse of prorities and thinking capacity both habits and

opnions changes with age.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0

Your position is clear from the introduction: “I firmly agree,” and the response gives relevant reasons involving changing priorities, decision-making and daily habits. The examples about your family in India and your own sleep routine help connect the discussion to personal experience. However, the reasons are not developed equally. The priorities paragraph gives a sequence across life stages, but the protest example is difficult to interpret: it is unclear who wants to replace the health minister and how this demonstrates that older people’s opinions change. The point about older people considering outcomes also needs a clearer explanation. Develop each example by explicitly linking it to your claim and explaining how it shows a change in habits or opinions.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0

The response has a recognisable overall structure: an introduction, separate paragraphs for supporting points, and a conclusion that restates your view. Connectors such as “Furthermore” and “Moreover” help signal new reasons. At times, however, progression within paragraphs is unclear. For example, the protest discussion moves from older people considering outcomes to younger people acting quickly without fully explaining the relationship between these ideas. Some linking phrases, including “The foremost argument” and “the other reason,” also make the organisation feel formulaic. Use clearer topic sentences and connect each example directly to the point it supports. Check references such as “they” and “their,” so readers can readily identify which age group you mean.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You use some relevant vocabulary for the topic, including “priorities,” “outcome,” “protest,” and “lifestyle,” and the reader can generally understand your main ideas. However, the range is limited in places, and repeated general terms such as “change,” “people,” and “age” reduce precision. Several spelling errors—such as “statment,” “prioritites,” “exmaple,” and “opnions”—are noticeable and can make reading less smooth. Some expressions are also unclear or unnatural, including “give their time to family” and “giving onion,” which appears to mean “giving an opinion.” Aim for accurate spelling and more precise collocations when describing how priorities, attitudes and routines develop over time.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt both simple and more complex sentence forms, and the overall meaning is usually recoverable. However, errors in sentence construction, verb forms and agreement recur. For example, “priorities, as people grow old their priorities change” joins two clauses without suitable punctuation, while “when younger one think” has an agreement error. In “I use to wake up,” the form should be “I used to wake up,” and “habits and opinions changes” should use a plural verb. Some sentences also lack necessary articles or have unclear clause structure. Practise building accurate complex sentences with clear subjects and verbs, and proofread punctuation and agreement while retaining your attempts to explain causes and examples.
